The Yellow Kittens is a bar and restaurant located on Block Island, Rhode Island. It has been in business since 1876 and is known for its live music, DJs, and Mexican food.

I recently had the opportunity to dine at The Yellow Kittens. We love it here, the food, the atmosphere, the overall vibe is excellent.

The atmosphere at The Yellow Kittens is lively and fun. It is a popular spot for tourists and locals alike. The music is loud and upbeat, and the crowd is always up for a good time.

When we arrived, we were immediately struck by the lively atmosphere.  The restaurant was packed with people, and the music was loud and upbeat. We were seated at a table near the stage.

The service at The Yellow Kittens was excellent. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. She was also happy to make recommendations.

Overall, I had a wonderful experience at The Yellow Kittens. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was lively and fun. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great time and good food.

I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal, great service, and a lively atmosphere, and great drinks.  You have to try the nachos, best...

Wow! I was pleasantly surprised about the quality of the food here. Granted, most food on the island is pretty darn good. I'm skeptical of Mexican many times due to having authentic Mexican food many times. That being said, these were some darn good tacos. We got the grilled chicken, brisket, and carnitas. We had one of each. The chicken was absolutely phenomenal -- genuinely some of the best chicken I've had at a restaurant in a long time. I'm not much of a pork or beef person, but I preferred the carnitas over the brisket. That being said, I'd be willing to eat them both again.

For an appetizer we had the salsa trio and all three were excellent. I recommend keeping a little to put on your tacos when they come out. Whenever I'm on the island again I'd come here in a heartbeat.

Come early, they get busy quick! We arrived when they opened and by the time we left the whole deck was almost full and more people...

We had lunch here on Saturday 7/24 after a fun few hours at the beach. It was a great place to chill, have some great food and relax. My husband and I were there with a friend. We have been coming to Block Island for almost 20 years. My husband's father was a bouncer at Yellow Kittens as a young man.

We ordered the tacos (3 each) of chicken, fish and shrimp. All were outstanding. The only thing I would recommend would be serving them in a taco holder (usually come in plastic or metal), which helps maintain their shape. Ours were laid side by side on a platter and they unfolded, which caused some of the filling to fall out. Other than that, they were perfect....tasty.. flavorful, light and healthy.

It was a great...

Signs everywhere saying no animals and yet we're dining INSIDE and 2 dogs are at the table next to us, one of which peed on the floor. Very unsanitary. Food tasted good but waitress was rude when reminded we asked for sour cream. Never brought it over, we had to go to the bar to get some. Server said no separate checks AFTER bringing one check then walked away without taking our payment. Ridiculous. Wouldn't come back.
