I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Beachead Restaurant during my visit to Block Island, and I must say it was an exceptional experience! From the moment I stepped foot into this beachside gem, I was greeted with warm smiles and a refreshing coastal ambiance. The highlight of my meal undoubtedly was the steamed lobster, fresh from their lobster tank right inside the restaurant! Cooked to perfection, I was thoroughly impressed. To accompany my meal, I decided to try their frozen mudslide. Sipping on while overlooking the beach was an absolute delight and added to the overall experience. Beyond the delectable food and drink, the service at The Beachead was top-notch. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making sure that my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. They were more than happy to answer any questions I had and went above and beyond to ensure that I felt welcome and taken care of throughout my visit. The beachfront location of The Beachead further enhanced the overall ambiance. The stunning views of the ocean and the gentle breeze made for the perfect setting to enjoy a delicious meal while soaking up the island vibes. I cannot recommend The Beachead enough. Whether you're a seafood enthusiast or simply looking for a fantastic beachside restaurant, The Beachead is a definite must-visit on...

We visited Block Island for the day and were looking for somewhere to eat. Having never been before, The Beachhead, with its waterfront view and elevated patio was an attractive proposition. We dined outside and enjoyed the shade offered by the patio awning. Our waitress was courteous, but not very warm.

Our group ordered: Chicken Focaccia sandwich ($11), Fish & Chips ($18), Caesar Salad with chicken ($13) and the Blackened Cajun Tuna Steak sandwich ($14). The food was tasty, well prepared and appropriately portioned. We didn’t have any major complaints. Drinks were promptly served and over all the service was quick and accurate.

Prices are a little higher than what you would pay on the main land, but that’s to be expected at an island that’s a tourist destination. Getting out of the sun and having a view were two great elements of this restaurant. There was a little confusion when the check came. They had incorrectly separated our meals on the split check, but it amounted to a small error at the end of the day that we didn’t make a big deal about....

I came here while on a trip to Block Island with the family. We've come here before and had a great experience but this place has gone downhill since.

The first issue was our cup of water had a hole in it and ended up leaking all over the table. Not major but made a mess.

Secondly our food allergy was not taken seriously enough by the cooks. The waiter did excellent but the cooks put the wrong food on our plates.

The food itself wasn't great either. My chicken sandwich tasted very bland and the bun was soggy. The pasta salad was awful and had no taste.

The staff, besides our waiter, was negative and gave my sister an attitude for using the restroom after stopping her to ask if she was eating there. That is unacceptable.

Lastly one of our plates was extremely disgusting. Not the usual stains either. Something the size of a bean left on the plate.

Giving two stars only because our waiter was friendly and the...

Good location and atmosphere. Staff accommodated our seating request. Our server worked hard for us. Despite that, the food was between HORRIBLE and fair! Dishes lacked imagination in preparation and presentation. For the price we paid, we expected much better. Lobster 🦞 boat bisque was watery. Clam 🍜 chowder was creamy. Chicken 🍗 tenders were juicy. The plant 🌱 based dishes were awful. With a little more dedication and effort, this restaurant could be crushing their competition l. As it is, nothing separates it from the other restaurants closer to town. If all you want is something to take your hunger away, this should do. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Incredible seafood and incredible views- We tried the seafood nachos here and oh my god, we still talk about it till this day. The amount of seafood it came with blew us away. The scallops, shredded crab, and shrimp were literally pilled on top of each other, tasting like it had all just been caught out the sea. The sauce they drizzled over all of it, coupled with the cheese, was just too too good. All this seafood goodness cost us just $20 too. The drink selection was also pretty neat, with lots of local selections from nearby coastal towns. Overall, can’t recommend this spot enough.
