大鼓米线 Dagu Rice Noodle — Restaurant in New York

The restaurant has just opened, yet there is already no customer focus. My family and I arrived at 8:39 PM. A friendly waitress greeted us and was ready to seat us at a table. However, another waiter, who was sitting at a table finishing his meal (probably in a hurry to go home), told us that they could only take our order for takeout and instructed the waitress not to seat us.

I believe that a new establishment should be customer-oriented and strive to attract new guests. The manager should work with the staff; otherwise, the restaurant will have no chance of growing.

I am very disappointed and will not be recommending this...

Food was very good. It's not too salty and I had good value in my premium beef rice noodles. The fries are crispy. The brown sugar rice cakes carry the sugar within causing it to stay dry and is sweeter mid chew. More was ordered, but onto service.

Service was good. Standard service, but the speed at which they brought out the food was exceptional.

Atmosphere was chill. Bright lights, not loud, and very relaxed. There was no rush to have us leave...

It was always crowded with lines almost out the door so we came in late on a rainy day and got the Nanching Mix Noodles (no broth and so savory a bit spicy but not intense so so good!!) and Vigorous Bone Broth rice noodles soup. They give your big bowl in a heating external plate with like a bento box of garnishing!! The service is exceptional staff of young people that speak English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
