These people stole from me.
I came here on Saturday, May 4 around 3am and ordered one non-alcoholic beer.
The charge came to $7.62 and I added $1 tip to make a total $8.62.
I was charged $14.62. There is no way you can confuse an 8 for a 14, simply impossible, so someone intentionally stole from me.
When I reached out, they said they cannot refund me but I'm welcome to come for a free drink (that way I would spend even more money at their place after they ripped me off, great scam all around).
When I said I want my money back they said I can come in person and pick up cash. I said I don't have time to go to the other side of NYC for $6 and asked them to send it to me by Paypal, Zelle, Cashapp, Venmo, or one of the many other digital payment apps afforded to us in 2024.
They said they don't have any of those and I repeated again that they can just call their payment processor to process my refund. I have never heard of a business anywhere ever unable to process a refund. And this is not a refund per se because I never purchased $14.62 worth of goods, I purchased $8.62 and $6 was stolen from me.
This is either a little scam they have going to take a little off the top and hope people don't notice or at a minimum they are condoning their employees stealing from people. It is impossible to confuse an 8 with a 14, and their lack of urgency to return money that their establishment stole from one of their customers confirms that attitude.
Avoid at all costs. Be careful when paying for stuff with credit card, check...
Read moreGentrification's event horizon. I really don't recommend you go here unless you are an aspiring hypebeast. It used to be Miles, which i would go to occasionally to have a good drink and a chill night. Miles wasn't the coolest bar in the world, but it was a solid spot. After being out of the city for a couple of months I passed by and saw Miles had become this new bar. I figured I'd try it out, but man was I sorely disappointed. It basically looks the same, except if Miles was covered in immature and awful graffiti. Not even good graffiti, white people graffiti. You know the type. Like, grew up in the suburbs only listening to Wu Tang and Eminem fake skater graffiti, then moved to NYC to attend NYU, dropped out, and moved to Brooklyn to become a brand ambassador for someone's basement skate brand graffiti. Bad. It's also filthy -- I saw a roach on one of the walls just chilling (the windows are kept wide open which....also makes it extremely loud, i've since noticed you can hear it from a few blocks away) So.. really, a sad day for Bushwick, to lose a neighborhood mainstay and to get this in it's place. Also, looks like they're having their bros write the google and yelp reviews, cause I really don't know who except for an underage kid excited to tag up a wall and get his first taste of beer would give...
Read moreThis review is based on the horrible experience I had simply trying to check this place out. I love most of the bars in this area because they arenât the LES/east village NYU obnoxious crowd on any given night however this place brings all of that right to bushwick in case you really wanted to put up with a tiny dive bar at constant capacity it feels like a sauna even being outside in the winter of the place, watch drunk girls dance on the bar and fall down almost instantly or at some point, wait in a line to get in and be treated terrible by a bouncer as if youâre assumed a rude drunk young kid regardless how you act or what you say (and I used to live in Miami where bouncers were ridiculous and have been to my large share of bars, venues etc in nyc and bk so it takes a lot for me to say that because usually I can empathize with them because theyâre dealing with a lot but when they arenât and just plain angry - it just makes you wonder why?), and as overheard from 2 large groups walking out - the drinks that werenât beers pre-canned or from the tap.. were horrible - if youâre in this area I highly recommended avoiding this place and going literally ANYWHERE else within a 1 or less...
