Avoid staying here! Health risks due to dirty rooms with molded shower heads and cockroaches! My partner and I visited NY for a few days and were looking forward to be located in Brooklyn with easy access to public transport. We dont have high standards at all and just wanted a private room and bath to ourselves but the circumstances were horrible in the end. We flew in from Germany (2 flights 11h travel) and arrived 15min before the official check in time at 2:45pm. As our room wasnt ready we were asked to wait but even at 4:40 we couldn't get a room. After asking multiple times the person at the desk was able to move us to another room then the one we were supposed to get. When entering the room we noticed the room was very humid but we were very tired and not in the mood to go back downstairs and wait another hour for another room. While getting settled I noticed a lot of dust in and next to the bin in the bathroom apparently from drilling into the wall. This as well as a used (!) band aid next to the sink made it clear the room wasnt cleaned properly at all. On top when getting into the shower we noticed there was a huge amount of black mold on the shower head and the amenities (both shower gel & shampoo) were empty. In the end we were so exhausted after the long travel and wait for our room, we just went to bed even though the sheets felt pretty damp and clammy due to the humidity. The next morning we flagged everything at the counter and the person at the desk seemed to take the complaints serious and promised the issues would be fixed when we would be back in the afternoon. When getting back the dust and band aid as well as the rest of the room were cleaned but the shower head had only been scrubbed roughly and it was clear it would need to be fully exchanged, on top there still wasnt any shampoo. The next day we complained again and in the end the amenities were filled but the issue with the shower head wasnt solved. Then the climax of our stay was reached a day before our departure when we came back from breakfast and found a COCKROACH in the sink in the bathroom! My partner almost threw up and I went back downstairs to ask for a refund. The person at the desk again seemed to take this seriously and assured me they were going to talk to their supervisor and manager to make sure we would be compensated in a way. They had me send all photos I took via email to forward them. Later in the afternoon when we left the hotel again the person at the desk approached me and told me they had spoken to their supervisor and we would get a 50% refund on our booking. I was a bit relieved and thanked them for taking the issue seriously, they apologized again and I thought the topic to be solved. When checkin out the next morning another person was there and I asked about the refund and they weren't even aware of the issue but told me they were going to take note and make sure it reaches the manager. I followed up via email a few days later but only got the response that they had forwarded everything to their supervisor and the manager and were waiting for a response. I emailed them again but the matter wasnt solved and I also didnt get a reply back to my last email. Do not stay here!

Dont pass on this if you really really need a convenient place to stay near Manhattan. This one is very close to a train station and overall clean and newly renovated. I definitely felt that they are trying hard to treat their customers well. Needed a last minute hotel in New York that has it's own bathroom for a fair price. I am surprised with the cleanliness of this hotel as well as the service. They clearly are trying very hard to be a good hotel in New York. The rooms are very basic but clean. Just take note that the hotel has a VERY loud bar in the weekends at its ground floor which will make it nearly impossible to sleep if you are located in the lower floors. I was located in the high floor and I could still slightly hear the bar downstairs that was playing loud music through 2am. This didn't bother me very much because I brought earplugs because I anticipated the noise. The hotel hallways and elevator look newly renovated too. The Myrtle Ave Station in Brooklyn, metro station it was closest too, is in my opinion a dirty place. It's an 8 minute walk so it was fine. Just practice common sense when going in this area of Brooklyn. The reputation of the area is shady and you can definitely see some shady characters around. But if you stay aware of your surroundings and understand that this is Brooklyn, you'll definitely be just fine. The hotel made me feel very safe. The receptionist was kind and acknowledged our needs. Overall it was a good stay. It was better than I expected. What matters most to me is that it was clean.

So let’s just get straight to it ! The location and pricing are your ONLY incentives to book here. There are NO extras! The room is nice and minimalistic but no hair dryer, fridge or microwave. Cool, now looking past that…the club next door ! The bass! Luckily I was only there 1 night because it was literally in the room with me ! The hallways are dark and borderline scary. As a solo female traveler, I didn’t enjoy that party AT ALL. Even with the train being SO close to the room it was VERY quiet and that was appreciated. OVERALL, I wouldn’t recommend but it could have been worst , I guess.

Here’s my take from an ATL native here for 4 days. I absolutely loved this hotel AND the staff and let me go into detail.

First from the start they were super accommodating and nice. I called in advance and asked for a top floor view, and they did it with no hesitation. I accidentally got placed in an ADA unit, and they switched me immediately to another room still top floor! House keeping came daily, and were super quick when we asked for a bed change and fresh towels EVERY SINGLE TIME. The rooms weren’t noisy at all.

For the shower it was super hot water and it has an adjustable shower head so we switched between two for my husband and I since we liked different pressures. The sink was small but the mirror was huge. Bathroom was spacious too and Ngl the soaps and lotion they provided was pretty freaking good.

For the bed it was super comfy, fresh towels and pillows and sheets & we slept like babies through the night!

For the location we personally LOVED it. We took the subway the entire trip, and we were dead in the middle between Marcy Ave & Koz. St. We took the J train to Chinatown, manhattan, UES, and so many others by just the J train. It’s a 4 and 6 minute walk to either train station in either direction. We also got here from the Airtrain & the J train right next to our hotel. We don’t mind street noise because it’s NY, but to be honest we didn’t hear much.

The downstairs lobby has a cool bar and a nice bathroom for you to use if needed. We were able to do an early bag check & that was amazing for us.

The only cons but didn’t matter to us really was the rooms have no microwave or fridge. But the prices matched what we received and was super affordable!

We’ve interacted with almost every staff member as we even spent some time chatting with them when they came to check on us and give us extra towels!! We haven’t had a single bad experience with any, as the housekeeping and front desk staff was amazing and they genuinely made our trip.

Overall this is our 2nd time in NYC & we will definitely be back here because it’s so convenient to transportation even...

Terrible Experience - Avoid This Hotel at All Costs

My stay at this hotel was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. The issues began immediately with a barking dog in the neighboring room, forcing me to request a room change. Unfortunately, this only led to more problems.

The new room was incredibly noisy due to its proximity to the train tracks, making it nearly impossible to get a good night's sleep. The constant rumbling and noise from passing trains was unbearable.

The hotel charges an additional $17.21 per night for what they claim are "amenities." When questioned, they cited a bench outside, coffee, and hot water as justification. However, the bench was in poor condition, there was no coffee to be found, and the hot water was located in the basement without any cups provided. This extra charge felt like a complete scam.

Basic necessities were severely lacking. Despite multiple requests for towels, blankets, and shampoo, none were ever delivered. The lack of responsiveness from the staff was frustrating and unacceptable.

The final straw was a loud altercation that lasted from 6 AM to 9 AM. Despite calling the front desk for assistance, nothing was done to address the situation. The staff's inaction and lack of concern for guest safety and comfort were appalling.

Upon checkout, I voiced my complaints and was assured that someone would contact me. Unsurprisingly, I never received any follow-up. To make matters worse, I'm still struggling to recover my $100 security deposit.

In conclusion, I strongly advise against staying at this property. The combination of noise issues, hidden charges, lack of basic amenities, unresponsive staff, and security concerns make for an utterly miserable experience. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for...
