Last night, My partner , Timmy and I ate here. Throughout the whole night. he was Tossing and Turning all night after what seems to Normal dinner. I had mussels and Clams. Timmy on the other hand, had Spaghetti and meatball, The service was bad. The tap water came in room temperature. I had to ask for ice and the waiter did not know whom/ where to obtain them. After seeing her run back and forth the reatuatuant twice. she finally brought us a glass of ice. They were cheap on the bread and butter as well == We had to ask again.. The place was very inattentive. Timmy got sick from the spaghetti all night, I had a feeling it was either the meatballs that look processed since you can cut it like butter OR the gradated cheese they gave him from a canister and not freshly gradated by hand.. I called 311 and filed a report 4:35AM == DO NOT EAT THERE. I should have seen the sign since the place was empty to begin with and all the other place were crowded and people waiting in line. There was an old man and a young lady who were wearing RED t- shirts. I asked one of the waiters who it was , he old me that he is a waiter. First of all, He was on the phone carrying on for the duration of our stay, Why would any establishment would let their waiter eat and talk in public on his cell phone in view of the public. Also his female companion seems like she was running the restaurant . She was running around changing the climate control in the restaurant and helping our waiter our bill. Their staffs are unequipped and were not giving the necessary training / tool to run this place. This place is a F===ing joke and so...
Read moreI had dinner at 7 Old Fulton on a Saturday evening. I looked up restaurants near the Brooklyn Bridge and this one popped up. I liked the ambiance and the menu so I decided to swing by. And I wasn’t wrong! The restaurant has a family ambiance, everyone is so nice and it felt like family. Everything is super clean. Our server, Abi, was very knowledgeable and explained different cuts of meat. We decided to try calamaris for appetizers and seafood pasta. I was a little hesitant on what to order and Abi recommended their daily special which was a spinach fettuccini with mushrooms, chicken and Alfredo sauce. It was AMAZING! At the end of the night I wanted to pay card but after authorizing I switched to cash. I called the restaurant tomorrow to try to address it and they were very amicable, they offered me to come and pick up cash but since I’m not from NYC they Zelled me. I was surprised that the business that didn’t have to do anything went out of their way and solved the problem. The lady I spoke to, Julia, was so sweet and she remembered us from the previous night. She recognized my last name and started speaking in my mother tongue which was so sweet of her. They invited me to come back and I definitely will. This restaurant feels like a family and I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Italian food and amazing service....
Read moreOmg! I definitely should have read reviews for this low grade, atrocious, highly over-priced Tourist Trap! When I try a new-to-me place, I order small, and no alcohol to keep my palate unadulterated… I was able to pickup/taste ingredients that aren’t Fresh… ie: 2 slices of eggplant, refrigerator old mozz slice, ok sauce for $17 ~ old calamari, adequate ok sauce, lemon wedge $17 … The warm bread, soft butter, cappuccino was good or better. Service was surprisingly efficient and friendly… I wonder how many times staff turns over/changes,… as the 2 servers and 1 busboy were clearly overworked… In the short time I was there,… I saw at least 10 tables of patrons.. either on-the-street dining area, or the deck just outside the restaurant…the staff rushing back into the lengthy restaurant picking up orders from the kitchen, all the way to the street or deck. Please do not go to this place. Unfortunately, tourists seem to flock here which has kept it open for business for decades… I truly don’t understand how the Health Dept hasn’t closed it down for the old, less than fresh food.. yeah,...
