For a place that calls itself the “Museum of Food and Drink”, there is a wealth of possibilities for interesting showcases of foods from different cultures, the history of how modern foods have developed, the diversity of restaurants across the world, or the history of how crops have mutated over time to fit our modern food scene. These are just some examples I thought off the top of my head. Instead, this museum is a small room that includes a couple of pop-science brochure walls and some flavored water. Would be more accurately called the “Taste Exhibit”.

There were a lot of different activities, being able to taste liquids that just taste like cardboard and to smell some weird chemicals. There was one cool activity in which you and a friend would eat either sour candy or chocolate and have brain waves measured. Read moreI just landed in New York this morning and was excited to check this place out, and it did not disappoint. They give you tasting spoons and you can try all sorts of flavors. Some were pleasant while others weren’t, but overall very informative! I enjoyed seeing my brain waves while I ate a sour candy, as well as combining the aromas of some essential oils to create the scent of coca cola.
