VANILLA
Most ice cream manufacturers are judged by their vanilla. At the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory, consistency and purity are the cornerstones for this classic flavor. Vanilla should accept all toppings or just stand alone as a clean, fresh delicious delight. Nielsen Massey are the world’s foremost vanilla buyers. Their commitment to using the best quality beans to make the most consistent vanilla extract is what makes every batch of ice cream the same. Vanilla beans can vary from crop to crop and their process of blending crops and growths of beans yield a very stable product. We are proud of the fact that our vanilla tastes the same today as it did when we first opened. There is no sacrifice for quality.
CHOCOLATE
We blend our own chocolate using 22-24% naturally processed cocoa powder and turbinado sugar. This rich chocolate slurry is churned at a slow speed until it is as smooth as silk. It is then mixed and frozen on our 5 gallon Emery Thompson batch machine which yields a consistency of chocolate whipped cream. After eight hours in a blast freezer this flavor does not need anything else to satisfy your chocolate cravings.
VANILLA CHOCOLATE CHUNK
This classic flavor combines our vanilla ice cream with Barry Callebaut dark, soft chunks of chocolate. The simplicity and elegance of this flavor will leave you thinking about another scoop. The chocolate chunks melt in your mouth as you savor the vanilla flavor. Your palette will remember this match made in heaven.
CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE CHUNK
Just when you thought the chocolate could not get any better, we add those Barry Callebaut chunks of chocolate to the ice cream just because we can. The final product is as decadent as chocolate can get. This is a real chocolate lovers delight. There is nothing else to say.
STRAWBERRY
Strawberry ice cream. Individually Quick Frozen (IQF) strawberries that are picked at the height of vine ripeness are macerated in turbinado sugar for 36 hours to make this creamy, frozen fruit concoction. The maceration process turns all of the water in the strawberries into a full bodied puree that blends with the cream to give your tongue a trip through strawberry fields.

Oh boy, let me tell you about my experience at the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory! Brace yourself for a hilarious and mouthwatering adventure that will leave you craving both ice cream and laughter!

So there I was, having worked off some calories with a leisurely walk across the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. My legs were tired, and my sweet tooth was begging for some attention. That's when I stumbled upon the heavenly oasis known as the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory.

The moment I stepped inside, I was hit by a wave of nostalgia. The place had that classic, old-fashioned ice cream parlor vibe, complete with black-and-white checkered floors, vintage décor, and the aroma of pure deliciousness in the air. It was like stepping into an ice cream time machine!

Now, let's talk about the ice cream itself. Oh my goodness! The flavors at this place were out-of-this-world amazing. They boasted an array of natural, homemade ice creams that would make any dessert enthusiast weak in the knees. From rich chocolate to velvety vanilla, from fruity strawberry to decadent caramel, they had it all. Each scoop was like a tiny piece of frozen bliss, melting on my tongue and sending my taste buds into a frenzy.

But here's the cherry on top (pun intended) – the location! As if the ice cream wasn't enough of a treat, the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory gifted me with some spectacular views. Picture this: you're indulging in a delectable cone of ice cream, and as you lick away, you're treated to breathtaking vistas of the magnificent Brooklyn Bridge and the iconic Manhattan skyline. It's like eating ice cream in a postcard!

I must admit, I couldn't help but snap a dozen pictures for my social media. I mean, who wouldn't want to show off their ice cream adventure against such a picturesque backdrop? It's the perfect combination of sweet treats and stunning sights, making for a truly unforgettable experience.

But wait, there's more! The staff at the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory were absolutely delightful. They had smiles as bright as the sun, and their enthusiasm for ice cream was contagious. Their recommendations were on point, and they served up scoops with a side of laughter and charm. It was like being a kid again, gleefully ordering your favorite flavor while grinning from ear to ear.

In conclusion, my visit to the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory was nothing short of a legendary ice cream extravaganza. From the classic flavors to the stunning views, every aspect of this place left me with a grin plastered on my face and a satisfied belly. If you're ever in the area and in need of an irresistible summertime treat, do yourself a favor and make a beeline for this ice cream paradise. Just be prepared for a flavor experience that will have you craving more long after you've licked the last remnants off your cone. It's a must-visit destination that will surely scoop you up in a whirlwind of joy and sugar-induced bliss!

Note: Side effects may include uncontrollable ice cream cravings, endless smiles, and the sudden urge to plan your next trip to Brooklyn. Enjoy...

This was our first time here and I could not believe how terrible it was. I've never left an ice cream or gelato store unhappy, but everyone in our group was unhappy here. I have been to Van Leeuwen, Anita's Gelato, and plenty of other stores where they're happy to recommend flavors and let you try samples so you walk away happy with your flavors and experience. Half of our group was allowed to each try 2 flavor samples and then the rest of our group was denied even trying any flavor samples at all. 1 woman was very mean and said the sample is per group not person. But we are all different people so why are we not each allowed to try samples to decide. We don't all share the same mouth and samples. The other woman and man working there were nicer and seemed willing to let us each try something before buying but the mean woman yelled at them and told them not to. I didn't even like the ice cream there and wish I had gone to Van Leeuwen instead. After the mean attitude from the woman I would have walked away from there not buying anything and gone straight to Van Leeuwen across the street, but then I didn't want to give that woman any reason to think we were taking advantage of the samples even though I think 2-3 samples per person is totally reasonable. Other stores don't even limit your sampling and I never take advantage but I didn't like the samples I tried so didn't even want to buy, but forced myself to anyway despite the ice cream being subpar as well. My friend who was able to try 2 flavors liked one and didn't like the other and wanted to buy 2 flavors but didn't know which other one to get so when the guy was serving him at the counter, he asked if the butter pecan was good and the guy nicely gave him a sample and my friend ended up liking it and buying it. However the mean woman saw this and yelled at the guy then took the bucket of sample spoons away from him. I really don't understand why she was having this attitude. None of us would ever go back after such a terrible experience with her (the other employees were definitely nicer) and the ice cream wasn't even that good. I would happily go to Van Leeuwen or any other ice cream store besides this one. I actually go to ice stores quite often and always bring local friends or my guests visiting to tour my favorite ice cream stores and I would never bring...

The Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory, while undeniably famous and prominently located along the waterfront, may leave one with mixed impressions. This establishment appears to be more renowned for its iconic status than the remarkable taste it offers.

Key Points:

Iconic Location: Situated within a historic fireboat house with stunning views of the Brooklyn Bridge, the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory holds a prime location that contributes to its fame. It is undoubtedly an attractive spot for tourists alike, garnering substantial foot traffic. Taste: Regrettably, when it comes to the primary aspect of an ice cream parlor - the taste - it appears to fall short of the lofty expectations set by its reputation. The flavors, while decent, do not particularly stand out in a city teeming with diverse ice cream options. Competition in NYC: New York City boasts a vibrant and highly competitive ice cream scene. Given this, there are numerous alternative ice cream establishments throughout the city that offer more innovative flavors and superior taste experiences. Overrated Status: The acclaim and recognition showered upon the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory may have inadvertently elevated expectations to an unattainable level. Consequently, for individuals seeking an extraordinary ice cream adventure, this establishment may leave them yearning for more. In summary, the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory is undeniably a part of the city’s cultural fabric and provides a memorable location for enjoying a scoop of ice cream. However, when it comes to the essential criterion of taste, it tends to underwhelm, especially when considering the extensive competition present in New York City. While it is a charming place to visit, it is not the pinnacle of ice cream excellence...
