I came here because this is my third time at a 787 coffee shop, but a different location. Every time I go to this coffee shop at different locations, every time they deliver delicious and aromatic coffee, the service is always excellent, always friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is always inspiring and cozy. I feel very comfortable here, and the coffee is so flavorful. I always get the tres leches latte with a chicken empanada (they stuff their empanadas with so much chicken and the first bite isn’t only dough). I love it here, they also have free wifi to do your work. I’m sitting here at the cafe with my laptop in my online class writing this review. I didn’t know there was an outlet at the bottom of my foot and I was panicking and when I got up to get my second drink of tres leches latte I found the outlet. My first drink of today was so flavorful, I always get the tres leches latte like I said, and my second drink was from another barista and the drink was kind of bitter because he forgot the tres leches syrup, and I came back to the counter to let him know and he was so accommodating and he was sorry that he forgot the syrup (i didn’t mind because it was really busy and he was the only barista there). Nonetheless he made me a new one and told me that he would bring it to me. When he came to bring me the revised latte he stood there and waited for me to try it and asked if it was good. His name is Andres and he deserves a raise!!! That is excellent customer service. Thank you again!!! Please come to this Puerto Rican based cafe it’s so good, you will be glad you came and you’d regret not...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible! I got scammed into paying $11 for a tres leches latte. Was trying to get the basic $8 tres leches as that already cost a lot for a coffee. The cashier up-sell like crazy and act like you wont be paying anything extra. Until you're put on the spot to swipe your card.
Please ask first for any extra little thing they want to give you an option on - if there is an additional fee. I was charged $3 extra for choosing a different bean. (Like whatttt? Thats almost the price for a second coffee. The beans aren't even organic!)
$11 for a coffee is crazy! Thats the price for a meal!
And they serve their cold coffee's in a plastic bag that looks like a colostomy bag. Its 2025 - are you guys still not thinking about plastic waste?
I would never ever come back here. The absolute worst! Go to a small local coffee shop instead! This place is not inviting or warm. You get the vibe that they are literally out to make a quick buck, up-sell like hell, and are not thinking responsibly about their impact on the environment with all the plastic coffee cup bags...
Read moreGreat side cafe on the street level on West 16th, just off of Eighth Avenue kitty corner from the A, C, E, and L subway station entrances. A super cool place that’s perfect for working on your laptop, a conversation with colleagues and friends and delicious coffees. 787 is a relative newcomer that has other locations in Puerto Rico, Florida, and now NYC. Their baristas, the beautiful Paola and Alef will guide you through these handcrafted coffee specialties that are available only here, and no other cafe in the city. Branding a one-of-a-kind selection of amazing liqueur driven original coffee cured items! The drink menu reflects the company’s uniquely innovative approach to the coffee-lover’s experience. A superb selection to taste from but at a price point that rises above the average Starbucks table top. But, also the ounces per cup as well. A luxury coffee bar worthy of the ambiance and great quality offered by its owner. Greatly recommended by regulars and...
