I saw 2 Atlantic Theater plays in late May 2024. The first was “What Became of Us, ” starring Rosalind Chao & BD Wong. The theater is tiny & the set was very minimalistic. My second row view was perfect & I was completely immersed in the rollercoaster of emotions that the actors elicited. The play was unusual because the actors did not look at each other most of the time. It was a series of monologues that weaved together to tell the story of the two siblings. Both actors were fantastic, showcasing drama & humor in equal measure. I was fortunate to chat with both of them after the show on the sidewalk outside. "La Viuda" Ok what can I say... Angela the main character was played but a man with a very slight 5 o'clock shadow. Ok it was a little weird but that very quickly melted away because of the phenomenal acting of Jay Romero. All the performers were excellent and supported the main character beautifully.
