A.T.M. Vegan Deli — Restaurant in New York

It's a deli, what can I say? Simple, no frills. And these guys do it well. I missed deli sandwiches after becoming vegan and was curious as to why this hadn't become a thing in NYC yet, so I was thrilled when I found this place.

I'm giving them 5 stars because the food is great and the service is friendly. I ordered the club sandwich and they were out of the vegan turkey, so I opted for the BLT instead. It was very good, but I make vegan mushroom bacon at home all the time that def rivals this stuff, so I was a little disappointed I didn't get the full club experience. C'est la vie. Hopefully they'll be stocked up next time I'm there. :)

Anyway, nice service. Great food. Just bear in mind that this place ain't your typical quick counter deli. I'm not sure why, but my sandwich took about 20 minutes and there were only a few orders ahead of me. I suspect they're still in their early days and working out some operational kinks. Either way, I hope to see more of these around the city because the make some MEAN vegan...

Part of me doesn’t want to review this place so I can keep it a secret. My non vegan friend says ATM has the best breakfast sandwiches in brooklyn, maybe the city. As a vegan, I can say it’s the best that I’ve tried.

I’ll try to describe why it’s so good. First, the bun has this like perfect little crunch when you bite into it; the bread is amazing and expertly toasted. Second, YUBA, this stuff is one of those magical things that I’ve been waiting to take off in the vegan community because it’s so damned good. Get the HEC for that delicious yuba ham, it’s flavor is perfectly smoked and sweet. Third, the cheese has a perfect kinda melt to it. Tbh good vegan cheese is still the holy grail, but this does a really good job. It’s melty and gooey and so so tasty on the sandwiches.

In terms of a wheelchair access there’s a small front step, but tbh the place is so small you could talk with the person from outside. They also provide a phone number on the door if you need...

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS : This is the second day of BHM and the nonsense has already started. I was blacklisted from ordering over the phone and for not being able to get there before closing almost 2 years ago. When I addressed this almost a year ago , I asked to be removed from this list because It was a genuine accident. I go here at least 3 times a month and was in the process of providing a review of all the things I've tried. However, today as I called 12 times and no answer, I realized I was still on this list- to add to this I was ignored once I got there- again, I go here multiple times a month. IF YOU ARE BLACK AND YOU MAKE A HONEST MISTAKE THEY WILL BLOCK AND IGNORE YOU. & THE PORTIONS ARE SMALL, they give you a slither of a meat and charge $15 a sandwich - calling it affordable.
