Annadale Bakery — Restaurant in New York

I ordered 2 rye breads with no seeds and 4 St. Joseph pastries a week before I needed it as I always do and paid for it in full. When I went to pick up the order I looked at my receipt and I didn’t see where it said no seeds so when I picked up the order I asked the girl if she would check that I had rye bread with no seeds. She looked at me and said you didn’t order rye bread you order lard bread. And then was told they didn’t have anymore rye bread but will have more the next day. Well I told her that’s no good because I was having guess over. She promptly refunded me the money for the bread. Once home at the end of the day I opened the box of pastries to find 4 of the same kind two with cream and two with cannoli cream. I asked for two and two. Another disappointment. So the person who took my order clearly got the entire order incorrect so I would suggest that they work on making sure the customers are receiving what they ordered by repeating the order back. Maybe less talking between employees while doing so. Also I prepaid because they said all you have to do is walk in and pick up the order which is not true. I waited on line. They should have a person that takes care of pre paid orders. But the wait wasn’t bad it’s just not what I was told so I will never pre paid again. But even though I had to go to another bakery for the bread and the pastry order was incorrect as always they were delicious. Very fresh and tasty as well as the cannoli’s I also picked up. As far as their cakes in my opinion simply the best. My all time favorite 7 layer crumb cake. Just need work on their customer service. This would be a 5 star if it wasn’t for the incorrect order. I would have made it a 3 star for that but their baked goods are excellent and that’s what saved them from a 3...

recently stopped by Annandale Bakery and I have to say, what a delightful experience! I treated myself to a peanut butter brownie and some butter cookies, and I can't stop thinking about how amazing they were.

First off, the service was friendly and welcoming, which always makes a visit feel special. Now, let's talk about that brownie—it was honestly the best thing I’ve ever eaten. The rich, fudgy flavor combined with the creamy peanut butter was just heavenly. I couldn't believe how each bite was like a little piece of bliss.

The butter cookies were lovely too—soft, buttery, and just the right sweetness. But really, the brownie stole the show for me! If you’re in the area and have a sweet tooth, this bakery is definitely worth a visit. I can’t wait to go back and try more of...

We ordered the cake an about four weeks in advance. They were super helpful with trying to figure out what we wanted. We had an idea and they executed it perfectly! When it was time to pick up the cake, it was pretty large and heavy. They offered to bring it to the car, but when I told them I’m going right next door to where we were having the party, they were more than happy to bring it over. It was so kind of them! It definitely took off some stress off of my shoulders. The cake was beautiful and delicious. So glad we have chosen them for our 30th birthday party. Thanks so much Annadale bakery!
