"Welcome to the Pizza Parlor - You're Expected..."
I have been to quite a few Italian American dining establishments in my time. However, I can proudly say that THE PIZZA PARLOR is in a class of its' own. My first time dining there recently is a memory I will always treasure.
Reservations are the thing to do, as the place can fill up pretty quickly. However, if you're lucky and come in at the right time, the friendly and courteous staff will do their very best to accommodate and seat you. What service! You are greeted with a smile from every staff member in the place. Our server, Nic, was absolutely incredible! Friendly, humorous and always attentive, I felt like I was a guest in a home rather than in a restaurant. And who doesn't like to be pampered after a long work day?
For those who like a cocktail or two, the bartender, Steven, is at the top of his craft. His detail to every cocktail is immaculate and his presentation is flawless. You essentially, get what you pay for - a delicious drink! And my Tiramisu Martini was that! The cooks and those who work in the kitchen also deserve an exuberant amount of praise - the food was exquisite! From the Eggplant Rollatini starter to the Frutti de Marre Pasta, every dish that came out was full of flavor. And for those who like extra sauce with their pasta dishes - you won't even need it! Trust me when I say you will get the perfect amount to twirl your pasta in.
And who can forget a delicate dessert to finish off the meal? The Tiramisu was delish, especially when paired with the martini! The orange peel flavor really brought out a sweet and exotic side to it. The manager, Chris even stopped by our table to ask how our dining experience was. Words cannot describe how amazing my experience here was, and I will be coming back regularly, as well as telling all my friends and family about this treasured gem. Whether you live local in the area or are traveling, as I was, remember to add THE PIZZA PARLOR to your route - you would be a fool not to!
Props also to Madison, our amazing hostess, who was able to seat us immediately! Be sure to check out her rose heeled-boots as well -...

I arrived around 7:45 with the intention of ordering a large plain pie and their Parlor Knots. Halfway through placing my order, the woman behind the counter cuts me off, tells me the wait will be 25 - 30 minutes, and quotes a price. I calmly completed my order and received a new price. I pay in cash, and get the wrong change. (I'm getting back less than a dollar, so I let it go.)
I wait outside and make a call that lasts roughly 28 minutes. I head back to the counter and ask whether the order on top of the oven was mine.
The same counter person asked for my name ... I paused, explained she didn't take it the first time, just my order and money. After a minute, she found my order in the system. Then, strangely, printed the ticket with my order, and walked it to the prep station. It was then I realized, 30 minutes after placing my order, she hadn't put my order in.
45 minutes after placing my order -- admittedly, that was my mistake for waiting so long -- a crowd forms, several complain about the long wait, as the same counter person loudly complains that their pizza maker disappeared for 20 minutes.
There were also a couple of people behind the counter openly eating slices of pizza ... which felt quite disrespectful in the moment.
60 minutes after placing my order, I see a boxed pizza on the oven. I assumed it was mine, as I'm the last person in the place. It also appeared the second part of my order was prepared incorrectly, as their $5 garlic knots were bagged, instead of the $11 Parlor Knots I paid for.
I finally reached my limit, when I pointed out my pizza was sitting for 20 minutes, requested a fresh pie, and both the counter person and pizza maker made a big production, stating the pie "just came out".
The best part about the experience was receiving a refund, even without an apology.
I was a consistent customer at this establishment for years.
After tonight, I'll...

Was looking forward to trying them out. I placed my order online. About 1 hr 15 minutes later I called to check on the order and it was about to leave according to the staff who was very nice and informative. Delays were expected due to the snow storm we had yesterday. I was totally cool with that.
Girlfriend loved her chicken francese hero ($11 + $1.50 for added fresh mozzarella), said it was delicious. It looked delicious and big.
The Notorious F.I.G pizza (white pie with prosciutto, fig jam, agave nectar $19 Medium great for 2 people with sides) was unbelievable. Unfortunately it was barely warm. But really I can imagine how amazing it would have been Fresh out the oven.
I was really looking forward to the garlic knots covered in fresh mozzarella and served with a side of vodka sauce ($8). Unfortunately, there was no side of vodka sauce. Wasn't a make or break for me but sure I would have loved to have it. The garlic knots themselves were a thing of beauty. As soon as I picked one up I felt how soft and fresh they were and I was so excited to put one in my mouth. Unfortunately, it was the most bland garlic knot I've ever tasted in my life. It was Not as much garlic as there should have been and also the bread was just tasteless. I don't think there was any salt in the place that day. 🤷
The Rice balls with meat and peas ($8) echoed the same result. Bland. Not even the sauce could save it. Was also looking forward to them. 😞
After taking a shot in the dark with this unique fig Pizza I have no regrets but looks like I will be sticking to pizzas and heroes only from this place going forward. The starters/apps are ambitious but unfortunately the taste fell way short.
$63 ($10 tip, $2...
