Annadale Diner's decor is unrivaled but personally, I find the diner itself to be overrated. I used to come here very frequently when I first started my job at Snug Harbor as an intern a few years ago because it was right by the train. From my experience, the food I had was extremely overcooked. I almost always had chicken tenders and fries there along with my signature onions and pickles on the side. The chicken tenders and fries were the hottest ones I ever had and I would say not even 10 minutes was enough for them to cool down. I did find the prices to be fair at least. As for the service, it was not very impressive. The only thing I can really write to home about with it was that they eventually remembered that I always drink at least a full pitcher of water with lemon when I went there so they would have it ready for me. I always came there extremely dehydrated from my job so having the full pitcher of water with lemon was the best experience I could ask for there. I still have weirdly fond memories of how I would walk back to the train dizzy and nauseous from the sheer excess amount of water with lemon I drank there. Towards the end of my time at Snug Harbor as an intern, I brought my friends to celebrate some good news. I later brought my friend Jesse there. The hostess remarked that this was the first time I brought friends there and that she was not used to this idea. I was a bit disappointed by this as me and my other friends had this hostess when we went there to celebrate the good news. Personally, I didn't really care much about this but I do consider this as reflecting some disconnect between the staff and the regulars. I ultimately stopped coming because of one really bad day I had where I got the impression the hostesses were laughing at the fact that I came alone. To make matters worse I almost couldn't get in because I had to present my jab pass through my phone which was on 2%. I ultimately was able to show the hostess in time but that left a very bad taste in my mouth and finally I saw a bunch of signs in there supporting a candidate that my family had a feud with before. Between all of these bad experiences I decided to stop going there. To sum up the experience quickly: Extremely overcooked food, average to mediocre service focused on rushing you out and fair, honest enough prices. The place is amazingly decorated at least besides some of the political signs. As a place that I'm wholly ambivalent on, I would rate this place a 2.5 out of 5 if I could but due to those final bad experiences I feel compelled to round it down to a 2 out of 5. In the aftermath of these bad experiences a few years ago, I actually wanted to round up to a 3 but after thinking about it over the years, it's probably more in line with my actual thinking to round it down to a 2 out of 5 rating. The picture is me and my friends when we went to Annadale Diner to celebrate some good news.

I booked my bridal shower this year at Annadale Terrace and it was nothing short of an amazing experience. The food, service, and friendliness of staff had my guests talking about my shower for months. The food was so fresh and delicious. I worked with Sofia who helped book the event. She was around and available to answer all my questions and was so very accommodating. When booking, Sofia said anyone who books a party at the terrace, you are entitled to a place to stay in Crete, Greece where Steve is from. We took them up on their offer and spent a couple days in Crete on my honeymoon and had the most amazing time. If you are looking for a place to book an event- look for further than the Annadale terrace!

Passed by this place many times and finally tried it today! We will definitely go back when weather is nicer, so we can sit outside! One of the factors for me of how good the diner is the cole slaw!!!It was perfect here -not too much mayo, fresh! I got eggs benedict but I asked for regular bacon and extra avocado! It came out really good!My husband got chicken fingers (didn't get a chance to take a picture) and they were very good-crispy on the outside, tender on the inside! Overall, #marusikapproved -will be back to try pancakes!

I recently had a very disappointing experience at Annadale Terrace, a diner I’ve been loyal to, visiting at least four or five times a month. I usually order the Annadale Terrace Wrap, but this time I decided to try something different and ordered the grilled calamari salad. Before ordering, I asked the waiter how it was, and he assured me it was really good. However, when it arrived, the smell of fish was so overpowering that you could’ve smelled it from across the restaurant. I took one bite and immediately spit it out it was extremely chewy, like a rubber band. I told the waiter right away that the salad smelled bad and was far too tough to eat. I sent it back and ordered my usual wrap instead, along with one to go. Shortly after, a woman named Sofia approached my table and asked what was wrong with the salad. I explained that it had a very strong, unpleasant fishy smell and was extremely chewy. To my shock, she told me that both she and the chef had tasted it. I found that completely inappropriate and unsanitary, especially since I had already eaten from the plate and even spit a piece back onto it. She then informed me that while she would take it off the bill this time, she wouldn’t do so in the future. I told her plainly that I don’t eat food that doesn’t taste good and will always send it back if I’m unhappy with it. Her response was incredibly unprofessional—she said, “We don’t need customers like you in our establishment,” and insisted there was nothing wrong with the food. I remained polite, paid my bill, and left, but I was extremely disappointed. I would not recommend this place to anyone, as Sofia’s behavior was both rude and disrespectful. She should absolutely be retrained on how to speak to customers. On top of that, I noticed the bathroom was filthy which is concerning because a dirty bathroom often reflects the overall cleanliness of the kitchen. Perhaps the staff should focus more on maintaining hygiene and less on berating...

Let me start off by saying, if you have a food allergy don’t eat here. I have a severe onion allergy and I ordered a chef salad which isn’t supposed to have onions in it, made it clear I have an allergy. We waited forever for our food and when it finally came, I see an onion on my salad. I told the waiter, he said it’s just one, I said I can’t eat this. He took it back and I am almost positive he just took that onion out and gave me the same salad because it was too quick even though he said it was a new salad. I put my dressing on, sure enough under all the meat there are onions. I told him I am gonna order something else so I order a BLT, just the sandwich no fries. He said sure no problem. He comes out with a deluxe BLT which I thought they were just giving me extra since they messed up my order twice. Turns out we get the check, they charged me $6 extra for a BLT deluxe. They charged my friend $4 extra for strawberries on her Belgian Waffle which according to the menu they made us scan online says it’s included. We ask our waiter about it and he sends over the owner. The owner has the nerve to complain to me how he had made two salads and now I’m complaining about the price. he said that the menu online that he made us scan isn’t updated with the pricing. You can’t do that! My allergy meant nothing to him that my throat could close. He rolled his eyes and yelling at our faces and snatches the receipt from my friends hand.

They are not following CDC guidelines because where they seated us, they had people walking in without a mask on. The girl working there only had her mask on her mouth, her nose was completely exposed.

To top off this experience, the owner decided to cut this tree branch off while we are eating and I get hit with a tree branch because he needed to make sure the seat was available for more business because clearly he doesn’t care about his customers. I always went to this Diner and I will never be...
