Asano — Restaurant in New York

Asano is truly a gem! The coffee and specialty lattes are always incredible, and their matcha is easily the best in the neighborhood. The pastries are so unique and delicious, the gochujang scone is my personal favorite (a must-try!).

Working from home, Asano has become my go-to spot to get out of the apartment. it’s the perfect mix of cozy, welcoming, and inspiring. Kate, the creator behind it all, deserves so much credit for cultivating this concept. And I have to shoutout the Baristas Walter and Dorsey, who make every visit such a friendly and uplifting experience.

Couldn’t recommend this place more, Asano is everything you want in a local coffee shop...

I was so excited to finally try Asano, and it did not disappoint! I love the concept of a restaurant that’s dinner only during the week turning into a cozy coffee shop in the mornings. Such a great idea and vibe.

I stopped by on a WFH day (trying new coffee shops is my little ritual), and this one’s definitely going on the favorites list. I couldn’t decide between the strawberry or mango matcha, so I started with strawberry. It was so good that I immediately went back for the mango. Both were amazing!

Can’t wait to come back and try more of their seasonal coffee and matcha flavors. And a big shoutout to Kate for being so friendly...

I got to Asano around 11AM and loved the vibe. I sat inside the cafe for the first 20 minutes and then sat out front enjoying the weather for the next hour. I saw friends meeting for coffee (plenty of tables), people working from laptops (there's good WiFi!), a mom bringing her baby with her for her morning coffee, and people reading and enjoying the quiet ambiance.

I love the idea of turning a dinner place into a morning cafe, and I love that there's a way now for me to support my favorite local restaurants while getting my morning caffeine with high-quality matcha. I will be a regular...
