Delicious, charming, and full of joy.

I’m sitting in a park eating my gelato I just purchased from Avrilililly’s. First and foremost, this gelato is flavorful and delicious! It is really good. I got this flavor that is vanilla gelato with just the right amount of dark chocolate and sugar cookie mixed in. You can really taste the flavors of each part, while they all work together.

Secondly, the shop itself is an experience. Very cute, and looks like it was pulled from someone’s sophisticated yet playful dream of a bakery. I admired the glorious floral detail on the cakes behind the glass while I was deciding what I wanted to try. A whole vibe.

Last, but not least, the service was upbeat, sweet, and very helpful. I had questions and they took time to answer them, as well as kindly offer me a delectable sample.

From the customer service to the flavors! Literally worth the trip across the bridge. They are completely attentive and allowed my sister and I to sample each flavor since we were unfamiliar, and also still providing attention to those who were waiting in line while still allowing us to take our time. I got the Tuscan Dream after tasting it and completely fell in love, when he told me it was olive oil and basil I asked him to repeat it because I thought I missed the “ice creamy” part but that’s literally all it needed to be absolutely amazing! My sister got the Blush of the Rose and also AMAZING! I then ordered the Sugar Mama to bring back to my fiancée and when he heard me say I was going back to Jersey with it he told me he would put it in the freezer for me while we finished our ice creams so it didn’t melt on us. Five Stars...

If I could give zero stars I would. There’s several things to say about this establishment and management. 1. My mother in law who lives in the area stumbled upon this and place, excited to support a black owned business near by, she was unaware of store hours, and was rudely yelled at and escorted out of the store b/c “she wasn’t open” a simple “hi sorry we’re not open yet”, would’ve sufficed anyway, the next day we went together as a group too see if the energy would be the same and unfortunately she was just as rude, not greeting us, and yelled at one of the delivery boys in-front of us.

Anyway onto the deserts, the gelato is subpar, and the cupcakes and cakes are dry and have zero flavor. The whipped frosting is okay though. That’s pretty much all there is too say. Hope this...
