Bagels and Cream — Restaurant in New York

This was my first time Coming to this lttle deli. a nice hospital receptionist referred me. I was happy I could sit&wait here & I was attended by a nice young man named Fofana. Here is my review. First of all, I write reviews on EVERYTHING and am very honest and partial. I write reviews because its important to inform others of places they should spend their hard earned money and for owners to know what's going on in your store.

Pros: Entrance seemed clean.

Cons: The bagel I ordered was placed on top of the bare counter as he was slicing it to toast it. I noticed it on the BARE counter Right next to a dirty rag. I asked the young man to kindly make me a diff 1.and to place my bagel on a piece of paper to prepare it. He was a bit annoyed and informed me that all establishments do the same thing. I really thought i should leave at that point. Yuck ! In the area for milk and condiments like sugar.. etc. That area was dirty. The milk carafe has dried milk scrap on the pour nozzle. Thats any coffee lovers turn off. Yuck. The radio was blasting way toooo loud for 9a.m. This place was cold, so my coffee and bagel ended up cold before I sat down. I am not sure of returning to this establishment.. I paid and still gave a tip. Even tho i didnt think it was merited. I still tipped. To the owner I say. **Please increase customer service for your staff. Please put the heater on.. we are customers spending our money here. This place was freezing. Bathroom smelled like urine. This location gets 3 stars because I feel like maybe they have room to get better. I was searching for a bagel shop near me and google maps guided me towards this location. They are in the heart of a busy center with colleges and hospitals being across from them. This place seems to be located in a great spot where it can get extremely busy. However the service was a bit slow and the wait was long I would suggest hiring 2 more people to get them delivery orders out and accommodate the walk in customers. I would also suggest some music playing in the establishment or possibly a tv so that customers can get a better experience as they wait. My food was good and the bagels are super fresh. I believe that this location can be better in time and I look forward to visiting again. They also have parking for customers and handicap ramps and parking...

We used to order from this place all the time it used to be our number one pick but as of 2025 they have fallen off completely. They are charging three dollars to cut up one slice of bacon and fold it into the eggs of the egg sandwiches and I feel that is insane to charge for one slice of bacon. The eggs were cold. Also they got the order wrong! When calling the store to Address this issue instead of coming to Google to make a review; they said there was no manager and hung up the phone acting as if they couldn’t hear me. So disappointing as a customer since 2019. What a shame.
