Bakeri Queens — Restaurant in New York

The baked goods are fine but I've had so many weird experiences here in a short span of time.

I went in once and their credit card system was down. Instead of informing me of this up front, the cashier took my order, boxed everything up, then asked me if I lived nearby (I thought she was making smalltalk), and THEN told me it wasn't working. I didn't have cash. She suggested I go home, get cash and come back (a 20 min round trip), which I politely declined and left.

Another time I walked in and asked for a piece of focaccia. The cashier looked behind her, where there was a full loaf of focaccia, and said they were out. I said oh ok and left.

And just today, I went in and got a baked good, and there was something very hard inside. I thought it was a nut at first, but I tried to cut it in half and could not even get a sharp knife through it. I have no idea what it is. I tried calling to inform them of this but their phone doesn't work,...

I’ve been coming to this bakery for years since I live in the neighborhood, but I’m very disappointed with how my concern was handled. When I called, I explained that my partner sat on the long bench outside, got several painful splinters, and had to go to urgent care to have them removed. I recommended replacing the bench, as this could easily happen to anyone — especially the children who often visit this bakery with their parents.

To walk by and still see the same bench in place after raising the issue is unacceptable. With the prices charged here, there should be more than enough resources to address a basic safety concern like this. I won’t be returning, and I truly hope no one else has to end up in CityMD because of...

OMMMMGGG!!! New found bakeri!!!! I was introduced by a friend and I tried Focaccia bread, cinnamon rolls and chocolate flour cake. Wen back the next day tried the 2 Focaccia bread, coconut carrot cake and Lemon pound olive cake. OMGGG!!! I love home bake cake and breads. I don't live near but I would travel just for there delicious home baked products. And the staff is super nice. I said I was traveling far and could they save me 2 Focaccia bread and they did. Thank you all for putting a smile on my face and in my tummy. (Cakes not sweet with alot of frosting, just the right amount). I will be going g again to try there other deliciousness...
