The reality is that the owner is so rude. My mom and I went there to order the deal (two slices of pizza and a bottle of soda for $9). When we entered, the cashier didn’t even know about the deal, so my mom repeated it. After that, I went to get the soda, but they didn’t have original Coca-Cola. So my mom said, "Okay, so the deal is $9, right? The two slices cost $6.50, so charge me $9.50, and I'll get two cans of soda that cost $1.50 each." The cashier agreed, so I went to get the two cans of soda. But then the owner, an old man, started screaming and said that we had to pay $10. My mom explained that we weren’t getting the food separately—it was part of the deal. She said, "The deal includes a bottle of soda for $2.50. Since you don’t have the bottle, we’re getting two cans instead, which costs $3. So we should pay $9.50.” The owner didn’t understand and started yelling at us, saying rude things. My mom calmly explained the math again: "The pizza costs $6.50, and the two cans cost $3, so we'll pay $9.50." The owner continued to scream and told us that if we didn’t want to pay, he didn’t care. My mom calmly replied, “Just charge me what you said, but let us eat in peace.” He grabbed her card and charged her $8.72. My mom didn’t say anything. As we started eating, he came out of the blue and said it was our fault that nobody would get the deal, and because of us, he was canceling the deal. My mom calmly said to let us eat. Anyway, the pizza was disgusting and tasted like it had been stored for days. In the end, we gave up one of the sodas and only took one can. I don’t recommend this place for pizza. You wouldn’t like it; there are better places...
Read moreI’ve ordered from this place for years but today was truly the worse experience ive ever had. My pasta came dry a flavorless. So i called Benny’s to let them know the issue with my order. I was told I was lying, next time just don’t order from there, and that was said to me BY THE OWNER HIMSELF.
I hung up because I felt myself getting upset. My grandmother called back & Tried to resolve the situation, when she handed the phone back to me they started becoming rude again. After all this back & forth they finally explained how that type of pasta is made & I simply replied that I understand but it still doesn’t explain the fact why it was completely bland with no flavor. To then be told how busy they are & can not bother to deal with me.
Ive never had such a rude experience ordering, or dining in any restaurant in my life. Its sad because this was one of the few good food spots in my neighborhood but i will NEVER EAT FROM...
Read moreThese are MY GUYS! If you know this area you know that this is the only good pizza game in town for 179th street Jamaica hills/estates. There isn't another decent pizza shop for at least a neighborhood or so away. Good for them, because they get it done. As far as I know, Benny is the owner and his son's work there also. These guys are on their job. You will see a particular highlight is the penne vodka, I can tell you it is absolutely incredible. I do think you should get more chicken in there if you add me to it, but holy mother of penne it tastes so good and I've told many people about it. And it's a nice big plate they give you.
Fantastic slices/pizzas, the sandwiches are awesome, chances are if you go there you will be on a line or so, it's a great place sorely needed in this strip of neighborhoods from 200 Street running all the way back down to Parsons. Good pizza shops are a rarity and they...
