I was there last night with a friend after mistakenly thinking that this was another branch of the other premium. As soon as I walked in I got overly excited after realizing that the OG Premium is in NYC. Here's my experience: The interior ambience is welcoming, soothing and gives off a good vibe. They achieved it with quality lighting and furnishing. My MOST favorite feature was the Aroma in their HVAC system. This is an upscale feature that the brand offered just as stated in their mission statement. We finally have a Bangladeshi restaurant that's not going to make you smell like food after you come out. Although it is a Bangladeshi brand in a Bangladeshi Neighborhood, the staff presented themselves in a very professional manner both in hospitality and communication skills equivalent to fine dining experience. That's a big plus. Plating & presentation is top notch. It's clean, eye pleasing and properly portioned. The sweets are delicate and they are not overly sweet neither under sweetened. The texture and the taste are rightly balanced and it feels good in your mouth. There are comments about pricing which is kinda irritating in my opinion. This brand serves a specific niche. It's for the people who enjoy the experience of a restaurant mixed with food. This place is for the Bangladeshis who appreciate quality deeply. You pay for that Feel good vibe of this restaurant and the quality of presentation which is even carried into boxes of the sweets. It costs to maintain this level of quality both in food and the interior of the restaurant. Imagine any of the competitors in the neighborhood. The food might taste good but the interior is not so pleasing. The pricing will also deter away the tea drinking political conversationalists and preserve the ambience of the place for friends and family gatherings. I am really happy that this Brand is here for us and will be making many many visits. Cheers to Premium Sweets!

I had negative thoughts before heading toward this spot since everyone was saying the food is too expensive for Bangaladeshi cuisine. However, I must say the service, decor, and taste had changed my mind. I have forgotten the name of our server (unfortunately) but I truly want to give him credit for having a smile the entire time and giving us his best service possible. He was tall, semi skinny, glasses, and his name started with the letter S. Now, as for the food, everything you see in these pictures were truly delicious. The only two items that didn't go well with my taste buds were walima roast & cake halwa. Walima roast's marination was somewhat indifferent for the type of roasts I like BUT it wasn't bad to the point you can't eat it or anything. I wouldn't mind giving it another try. The cake halwa was too sweet for me. My favorite was kheer toast, saffron vogh, sweet lassi, goat rezala, and morog polao. The price was surely high for every dish but it was worth it. I'm glad a fine dining for Bangladeshis have arrived in NYC and it's about time! I have already recommended this spot to my friends, whether they're Bangladeshi or not. So, get ready to have a good amount of people who are coming your way soon. I will surely go back and try their other dishes. To the chef & owner: great job & keep up the great work!

This place is better than I expected. The seating area is very nice and spacious. Do yourself a favor and get the mango lassi! 🥭 They use fresh mango and it taste like it. The sweet lassi is also good if you don't like mango. If that's too heavy for you, get the milk tea, they use real tea leaves. These drinks will help you later when you start eating spicy 🔥. The Ilish fish 🐠 is great. It doesn't have any fishy smell or taste. I haven't found this fish anywhere else. The meat is soft and the dish is savory. You have to be careful to avoid or remove the small bones by hand. Snacks include chicken roll, chicken samosa, and beef patty. The chicken roll is mild in spice. I like the spice levels of the samosa and beef patty, it's flavorful without being too hot. Goat rezala curry 🐐 is soft in texture, with some spicy green chiles and thick curry. After you eat the meat, the curry is very good with naan. Chicken Tikka is mildly spicy and creamy. Great for rice or naan. Shrimp Dopiaza Curry is spicy and flavorful. It has green chiles and other spices. The shrimps are big and they absorb the flavor of the curry which I really like. The shrimp is also cooked perfectly. It is not overcooked like other places. It is still soft and juicy inside. I give them extra credit for that.

Update to my previous review: I’ve traveled 4 times from CT last 3 months to get laddu from Premium Sweets that I absolutely love. Unfortunately, every time they said they were out of it. What’s more frustrating is that they still had them out on display which is misleading. They should have this message out on their social media or website and remove laddus from display to avoid confusion. Very disappointed. I’m taking one star off because of this! To everyone: before you go please call and check if they have the sweet you’re going for (if they pick up on time). Initial review: Most of my stars goes toward the ambience of the restaurant. I would definitely bring my non bengali friends here to dine in. It’s a clean representation of my country. However, in a competitive market as NY you gotta amp up your game with food. It’s good, but it needs to be great. I would love to have a genuine biye bari taste polau roast and kacchi. The haleem was honestly not good at all. I liked the fuchka but the faluda was a bummer (though it looked grand). Loved presentation of all the food. Keep up the good work. And I’m a fan of the motichur laddu.

Edit: This is a sincere feedback and I look forward to editing this. Management is poor at taking customer feedback. I’ve been here 4 times and gave feedback thrice, they failed to add a simple accommodation that applies to their majority customer segment. Allowing guests a prayer mat (and any bit of space) should be a quick and considerate addition. There is nothing close by and you should likely avoid the spot if you need to pray any time close to your visit. Non Muslim top tier restaurants even in Manhattan have been more accommodating in this case (no not praying in my seat) Mughlai - 5 star - fantastic! Tea - 2 star - not for me Service - 5 star Old review: 5 Stars for the service we received from Sajid both times we went in. There was another young guy who also was helpful but Sajid stood out in how he managed both elderly and younger folks in our group. There was a young lady who may need some etiquette training in managing guests with a little more patience. 5 Stars for their iftar food 3 stars for the pricing of certain items being too high vs the taste/amount
