I was there last night with a friend after mistakenly thinking that this was another branch of the other premium. As soon as I walked in I got overly excited after realizing that the OG Premium is in NYC. Here's my experience: The interior ambience is welcoming, soothing and gives off a good vibe. They achieved it with quality lighting and furnishing. My MOST favorite feature was the Aroma in their HVAC system. This is an upscale feature that the brand offered just as stated in their mission statement. We finally have a Bangladeshi restaurant that's not going to make you smell like food after you come out. Although it is a Bangladeshi brand in a Bangladeshi Neighborhood, the staff presented themselves in a very professional manner both in hospitality and communication skills equivalent to fine dining experience. That's a big plus. Plating & presentation is top notch. It's clean, eye pleasing and properly portioned. The sweets are delicate and they are not overly sweet neither under sweetened. The texture and the taste are rightly balanced and it feels good in your mouth. There are comments about pricing which is kinda irritating in my opinion. This brand serves a specific niche. It's for the people who enjoy the experience of a restaurant mixed with food. This place is for the Bangladeshis who appreciate quality deeply. You pay for that Feel good vibe of this restaurant and the quality of presentation which is even carried into boxes of the sweets. It costs to maintain this level of quality both in food and the interior of the restaurant. Imagine any of the competitors in the neighborhood. The food might taste good but the interior is not so pleasing. The pricing will also deter away the tea drinking political conversationalists and preserve the ambience of the place for friends and family gatherings. I am really happy that this Brand is here for us and will be making many many visits. Cheers to Premium Sweets!

I had negative thoughts before heading toward this spot since everyone was saying the food is too expensive for Bangaladeshi cuisine. However, I must say the service, decor, and taste had changed my mind. I have forgotten the name of our server (unfortunately) but I truly want to give him credit for having a smile the entire time and giving us his best service possible. He was tall, semi skinny, glasses, and his name started with the letter S. Now, as for the food, everything you see in these pictures were truly delicious. The only two items that didn't go well with my taste buds were walima roast & cake halwa. Walima roast's marination was somewhat indifferent for the type of roasts I like BUT it wasn't bad to the point you can't eat it or anything. I wouldn't mind giving it another try. The cake halwa was too sweet for me. My favorite was kheer toast, saffron vogh, sweet lassi, goat rezala, and morog polao. The price was surely high for every dish but it was worth it. I'm glad a fine dining for Bangladeshis have arrived in NYC and it's about time! I have already recommended this spot to my friends, whether they're Bangladeshi or not. So, get ready to have a good amount of people who are coming your way soon. I will surely go back and try their other dishes. To the chef & owner: great job & keep up the great work!

Don't know where to start. What a joke. This restaurant markets itself as high end and it is anything but. Lousy overpriced curry full of hard grizzle, paper plates along with appetizer size plates and not warm and welcoming. Everyone is at the back and seemed annoyed and busy with takeout. The waiter was very young and inexperienced but tried his best and got a tip he didn't fully earn or deserve for the shoddy service. Decent looking space but weird music and the space only one other table had 2 male customers. Should have known why . They don't even offer you water nor ask if you'd like any while waiting for the food. Had to go get the menus myself. Their saving grace is the Walima chicken and doi fuchka. Short rib beef curry was the worst..missing spices and seemed like it has something sweet like sugar, less savory. It was only 3 pieces of beef with an immense amount , probably 80% hard grizzle for $18.00 by itself in an appetizer sized bowl and barely there gravy. You literally have to order rice or roti on the side. The salad comes in a tiny dressing container and they give us thin tiny paper plates to eat doi fuchka off of. What a joke. They don't give you dinner sizes plates, Instead they give you appetizer dishes that were way too small to fit more than a few tablespoons of rice , it was so uncomfortable to eat off of. We took a Walima chicken to go and the paper bag was so cheap and thin, it ripped by the time we walked out the door. The woman at the back who looked perpetually annoyed by actual customers coming in had to come and investigate and I had to ask if they would replace, thankfully they didn't. I fully understand why the place was empty and the other places in the same neighborhood was packed. Quality of food and service combine with decent prices actually matter to customers. You try to support local restaurants but they act as if they're too good for you or your money. Is rather sit in Ittadi garden in Jackson heights and enjoy an amazing , flavorful meal for a third of the price and go home full and happy . It's not "high end " but damn SUPERIOR IN customer service, food ..soo many options and incredibly warm...

The worst experience we had hosting an event here.

For the day of the event, I provided them with cards to place on tables for guests but to our surprise they STOLE it. When asked, they mentioned that they never received it whereas I was the one handed to them same morning.

They started off by offering guests royal mint drink in a tiny shot glass. Mind you, they PROMISED it’ll be on a tall presentable glass. WHY would you serve guests a ridiculously tiny plastic cup like those that comes with cold medicine? It was a wedding celebration, but the bride and groom were ignored at first, then served appetizers extremely late which came cold. When entree was served, they provided a plate which could barely hold a piece of chicken roast let alone anything else. I found it extremely offensive to treat a guest as such, given the event plans were shared and okayed with management weeks ahead.

Many tables didn’t even get either vegetables, beef etc. When asked about it, they brought it out after everyone was done eating. They offered naan when all the tables were almost done eating. Guests from neighboring table saw other tables with the dishes that they didn’t even get served.

In addition, many people were served food with NO plates/utensils. Some guests lost patience waiting for food and left before dessert could arrive since everything was delayed. It supposed to have been a day of celebration which turned into a day with disappointment and...
