We visited the Blue Point on july 26th around 8h50 PM.
I can't remember the last time I was treated this horrible in a bar, diner or restaurant before. We were two, my son and I, sat at the bar and I politely tried to get the attention of the female staff-member by raising my hand. She looked at me but ignored me and turned away. Another male staff member passed by like a minute after that and my son, also very politely asked if we could order some drinks. The male staff member went over to the female staff member and told her we would like to order some drinks (I was under the impression she was the only one taking the orders and preparing them). She than looked at us and loudely and rudely shouted with a very angry voice she would take our order and make the drinks whenever she had time or felt like it!!!
I was baffled and sat there for a minute in disbelief over how we were just treated and left the Blue Point while telling her I would not stay because of her rude attitude. While we were walking away I heard her swearing loudely and shouting some other rude things but decided to ignore her and didn't pay attention to her anymore.
From what I've seen and witnessed the waitress at the Blue Point should not be working anywhere where she comes into contact with customers.
I would advice to stear clear from this place at all costs and have a look at the Uptown Brasserie, it's only like a 1 minute walk from this place and it's got an...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI left the restaurant crying as I was yelled at by the bartender after my waiter lied to me about having coffee. When I walked into the restaurant, I asked for an iced water and a coffee. My waiter very rudely said they donāt have coffee and I asked him if it was okay to order food while I quickly run across the hall to get a coffee. It was 6:30 AM and the line was VERY long. He didnāt put my order in while I was gone and when I came back I saw him blatantly serving other tables hot coffee. I was a bit confused as he just told me he didnāt have coffee so I asked him if they had it again and he declined. The girl next to me ordered a coffee and was served it in less than 5 minutes. I was speaking to my fiancĆ© about the scenario and then the bartender from behind the bar started yelling at me saying they didnāt have coffee and that he ran across the hall to go get it which is physically impossible as he would have had to pass me to do so. In addition to that, my waiter also refused to give me water after I ordered twice. I had to go up to the nasty bartender and get iced water. The food was AWFUL and overpriced. This was the most dramatic experience Iāve ever had dining. I never complain and Iām always grateful but this was unacceptable behavior. Iāve seen reviews where the staff also tips themselves after diners leave which is ILLEGAL. Do not go here, do not even...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAndrea gets 5 stars. I kinda feel like 3 stars generous but the food is good. The service is fine. What makes me mad is that everything is via QR code. If your phone is dead you canāt eat here because management wonāt let their employees take orders. The employees are losing loads of money due to the fact that the customer has to do all the ordering and no one (including myself) wants to tip 20% or more when we have to do all the work. Servers and bartenders need to be able to do their full jobs to make good money. Management is absolutely destroying this place. They have good food but I watched a guy get turned away because his phone was dead and employees arenāt allowed to take orders. Why even have employees? You donāt let them do their jobs.
I have food sensitivities and cannot order what I truly want because options are limited on QR ordering where as servers could actually help me.
I loved this place the first time I came but these new changes and restrictions with digital ordering are awful. Things need to change. Get robots and let your people go get jobs that value them if you donāt want to pay them what they deserve or allow them to do their job for good tips.
Step it...
