Worse experience I’ve ever had IN MY OWN neighborhood. Let just put it this way.. if you look native or local to the neighborhood.. do not go here. They treat certain kind of people better than others, they even treat them better than their own people. A man named George I guess is the manager particularly is blatantly more attentive to this population of people. I had a good experience the first time I went but this time was not cool at all. I was ignored & the service I received was as if my money was not as good as the other people eating there. I asked George if I can move when other diners left and he told me yes but walked away annoyed when I tried to explain to him that my son was sitting on top of a cellar in his stroller(we were outside). Then he told the other diners that there was no rush and they didn’t have to go anywhere anytime soon. I was moved and was grateful. After asking a simple question about my order and trying to get the attention of George’s and being obviously ignored (even other diners were telling him I was trying to get his attention) I got tired of sitting in the chilly weather with half my order getting cold and my babies order not even certain if it was being made or not. I decided to pay for what I had and leave. I tried to have a conversation with the older Mexican woman (who was nice) about any misunderstanding & the young lady that works there cut me off to let me know if I did not want to stay I can leave. I was not rude or argumentative. When I told her to basically mind her business, she loudly told me don’t speak to her walking away in earshot of other diners and basically tried to embarrass me. There is no communication between staff and they don’t care to make things right either. The food is not horrible but definitely not worth the mistreatment. Go next door to cascalote. The food is better and they’re service is great. Restaurants and eateries in Spanish Harlem need to respect the native and local people of this neighborhood. Our service and money...

Sometimes you keep a review in your pocket for a long time because you don’t want anyone in on the secret. Truth be told we’ve been visiting Panteras over a year pretty regularly. And as much as I like to dish out my opinions, I’ve felt reticent to divulge my feelings for this modest 2nd avenue haunt. It’s nothing fancy. The table layout barely makes any sense- to the point that they seem to not want more business. And as much as I’d like to keep this place private, I recognize they need to turn a profit and stay alive. The service is always exceptional and friendly. The margaritas are tasty and strong. The chips and salsa are perfectly good. Burritos, tacos, beans, quesadillas, salads are all really good. Their proteins rise above most other places from carne asada to carnitas. Nothing here is the best we’ve ever had but it’s all so damn good that when taken as a whole we find it hard to want to go anywhere else. We’ve been virtually alone every time we go to Panteras, which for us is exactly how we like it. It’s a selfish impulse and not very forward thinking. So here you go:...

I was minding my business, walking to Chipotle, when I noticed this place. I couldn’t tell you what attracted me to it but it just gave GOOD FOOD HERE energy so I changed my plans. Inside is a decently-sized restaurant space with a bar and very good food! Because I was alr on a mission, I got the shrimp burrito bowl. I wasn’t going to drink but they informed me it was happy hour ON A SUNDAY, how can I refuse?! So 2 mojitos, chips and salsa, and shrimp burrito bowl later, I’m very, very pleased! The bowl came with SO MUCH shrimp, it was almost comical. In the pic, you can see one pile and there was a whole nother pile on the side. Y’all know most places skimp on the protein but not here! It was indeed fresh and delicious. My fav are the hot sauces/salsas! I couldn’t put enough on my food. The mojito was grand and light, not sugary at all. They also use paper straws that didn’t dissolve or fall apart and we love that! It’s definitely worth noting that the service here was very kind and attentive. Everyone came by to keep my water full and check on me. I HIGHLY recommend stopping...

One of the highlights of my delivery experience was the jicama salad. It was a refreshing and vibrant combination of crisp jicama, tangy citrus, and a medley of fresh vegetables. Next, I savored the chilaquiles—a classic Mexican dish that did not disappoint. The crispy tortilla chips, smothered in a rich and flavorful sauce, created a symphony of taste and texture. The quesadillas were another highlight of my meal. The warm, pillowy tortillas were filled with melted cheese and a choice of delicious fillings.
