Bobby's Night Out — Restaurant in New York

It was the first of a few nice spring day pump-fakes before another month or 2 of winter weather, so I dusted off my linen button down after a lengthy winter hibernation.

Bobby's is right across the street from my apartment, so I poked my head out of our window to see the Bobby's big glass paned windows wide open to the street, sun shining directly on the patio. If you live in New York, you know when bar windows are open to the street after a long winter, the collective energy of the city is about to be ELECTRIC. The city comes alive.

I texted my big bro and he came to meet me here. We were sipping on Spritz's while watching March Madness games on the projector screens that they have as Bobby's is tailor made to watch a game, and it rarely gets overrun with people.

To order, you scan a QR code and they bring your drinks right to your table, which is a nice touch. You don't have to be that guy and make everybody move to go get a drink. You can just move in silence like the g in lasagna.

I was nervous what big bro would think of this place, because he is hella picky with his sports bars. When we sat there getting ready to leave, he said "Aye. Good pick lil cuzzo this place is smooth..." But what I heard was "I'm proud of you..."

A big bro compliment like that, my dear reader, is something you simply can't put a price on. THANK YOU BOBBY’S!

This spot is an absolute gem. Bob’s Bar nails it across the board: good vibes, even better food, and the kind of staff that makes you feel like you’ve been coming there for years (even if it’s your first time).

The space is bright and stylish with that perfect mix of cozy and cool. Black and white tile floors, huge windows, and a bar that actually makes you want to sit and stay a while. Whether you’re kicking off the night with friends or winding down solo, the atmosphere hits just right.

Drinks? On point. Food? Comfort classics with real flavor. The wings are a must. And don’t sleep on happy hour , it’s the kind of deal that makes you double check the bill.

Moreover, there’s always something happening , karaoke, trivia, or just people enjoying life. It’s got that laid-back energy but still feels alive. Makes sense why people keep coming back.

Experience has been really inconsistent everytime I’m here. Music is crazy loud everytime it’s a little rough to try and talk. The QR code is good in theory but it seems like sometimes they are severely understaffed. It took 30 mins for one beer to get out and they forgot the other beer we ordered (which was mine) and I had to wait by the bar to get help from an extremely overwhelmed manager. Went a good 45 mins with no drink at a bar while other friends had theirs is kind of a bummer. Like the location and convenience, staff is nice and well meaning, but not sure their system is...
