Bombay Grill House — Restaurant in New York

It was my third time dining in Bombay Grill House Forest Hills last night, and I wanted to share how wonderful our dinner was.

My husband and I were greeted by Peal, who is a friendly familiar face. Peal gave us Papadam with the 2 sauces to enjoy while we decided on what to order.

I saw Peal in the restaurant the week before when I had dinner there (8/22/2024) with my girlfriends. I chose the chicken korma and enjoyed it thoroughly, so much so that I wanted to return to the restaurant a few days later.

My husband and I shared two dishes: shrimp biryani and malai kofta. We also ordered garlic naan. Shrimp biryani came with raita. The shrimp itself was perfectly seasoned and cooked perfectly. Malai kofta went very well with the basmati rice.

To end a scrumptious meal, we had rice pudding. Rice pudding had the perfect level of sweetness, and not too heavy. Just like our entrees, dessert was delicious.

I think we will be back sooner...

My family of 7 had an amazing experience here! Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious—the chicken tikka masala was rich and flavorful, the mango lassi was refreshing, and the garlic naan was perfectly soft and garlicky. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection, the pakoras were crispy and full of flavor, and the mango chutney added a sweet, tangy kick to the meal. The restaurant was very accommodating for our large group, and the prices were very affordable for the quality and variety of food. Everyone in our family thoroughly enjoyed their meals, and we’ll definitely be back....

Stopped in for a late lunch with a colleague after a job and was delighted with the delicious food and top notch service.

I ordered the Hyderabadi Goat Biryani and the presentation with the naan over the clay pot was impressive, but the flavors put it over the top. I've had a lot of biryani, but this was unique, memorable and top notch compared to many other restaurants, plus the raita that came paired with it elevated it even further.

Then to top it off with the rice pudding and gulab jamun? I was SO glad we came here to eat.

I will definitely be returning...
