Recommended! Visiting from Scottsdale, Arizona. As a Ba’al Teshuva with limited kosher options in AZ, this bakery/restaurant was conveniently located in walking distance from the airbnb so I decided to explore my options while looking for a brunch place.

I ordered an iced mocha. It was excellent! Not too sweet and not too bitter. I also ordered the Tuna Steak which comes with a bed of jasmine rice, a GENEROUS portion of avocado (perfectly salted and seasoned) with an average size portion of seared tuna (warmed). I’m the daughter of a chef, so without shame…I identify as an extremely kind, yet spoiled borderline snobby chef’s daughter. I would definitely like to come back to New York to try other items on their menu. The staff and service is friendly, the location has a nice rustic and CLEAN atmosphere. (I did not use the restroom so I cannot comment on the condition or cleanliness of the bathrooms).

It’s summer so I do recommend sitting on the inner tables since the window area gets really hot. I did overhear a customer ask to put the a/c on and the staff was very friendly and turned the air to be cooler without hesitation. A recommendation for the owner would be to set up shades for hot summers or tint the windows to block sun/UV rays for a more comfortable experience. I personally prefer to sit near the window, but opted to sit away from the sun since I’m an out of towner visiting from 115 degree climate. Also, their restaurant area front door is sticky so the clients can’t enter easily. Might want to get the door adjusted since a few customers did walk away and I opted to push the door hard to let them in. The door is not a reason to lower the experience in my opinion. Come! Eat! Enjoy! And upload photos of food! This business...

This is a new location for the Artisan Bake House, and thus there are few improvements. First, there is a separate ā€œbarā€ for pastries and coffee. This reduces crowding in the dining area. Both locations (although they are connected in the beverage area) face the south and huge windows replace the walls. The old location was dark and cramped. This location is larger and the tables are spaced farther apart The washing station and bathroom are in a pleasant looking nook that is easy to reach. I was very happy to discover that they now carry English Breakfast Tea, in addition to Earl Grey and various herb teas

The place looks much more modern, with menus but no cute funky chalkboard the way they did before the move. I wasn’t hungry when I went there, but I hope they have improved the selections of food. I did see a very nice plate of sunny side up eggs.

As for the service - I lost some medicine (I’m not sure where) and this was a possible location where I might find it. I do understand why they don’t answer their telephone number, but it meant I had to walk a couple of blocks in single digit wind chill temperatures to see if they had found it. But the woman who was in charge of the restaurant asked the cleaning help and went with me to see where I was sitting, in case it might be there. She even put my phone number in her cell in case they found it. I was very grateful for her...

Our visit to Brooklyn Bakehouse was nothing short of delightful! Nestled in a cozy corner, the ambiance exuded a welcoming charm that instantly put us at ease. The menu offered a wonderful variety, catering to every palate.

We started with the Tuna Tartar, a refreshing blend of flavors that set the tone perfectly. The Pesto Bread was a standout, with its aromatic herbs and perfect crust. For our little one, the Mac and Cheese was a hit, creamy and comforting.

Moving on to mains, the Cheese Nachos were generously topped and paired wonderfully with a fresh Salad, offering a balance of indulgence and greens. The Egg Croissant Sandwich was a highlight, boasting fluffy eggs and a buttery croissant that melted in the mouth.

Sides like the Eggs Potato Salad were flavorful and paired excellently with our choices. To wash it all down, the Green Peach Iced Tea was a revelation – cool, fruity, and just the right amount of sweetness.

Throughout our meal, the service was impeccable, with staff attentive to our needs and knowledgeable about the menu. The ambiance was cozy yet vibrant, making it an ideal spot for both a relaxed meal or catching up with friends.

Overall, Brooklyn Bakehouse exceeded our expectations with its delicious offerings and inviting atmosphere. It's a gem worth visiting...

What a horrible experience. First, my hot chocolate tasted like water. Worst hot chocolate I’ve ever had. Second, there was absolutely no room down here so they sent us upstairs just for us to get kicked out because there was an event. The guy upstairs kicked us out without any understanding in his eyes. He didn’t care that 30 min went by and we hadn’t gotten our food and had nowhere to eat it. He couldn’t care less. So we go downstairs to tell the woman at the counter to pack our stuff to go. That itself takes 15 min since a party of people downstairs were standing there for a billion years because they couldn’t decide what they wanted in a timely fashion. I’m then assured the food is done and being packed to go. I wait another 10 min. Apparently they have someone with no hands and a mental disorder packing my stuff because 10 min is a little long to pack 3 items. I finally get home with my sandwiches just to discover they only gave us half a sandwich for each. For this we paid 56 dollars. What an utter disgrace. And when I go to call to try to get my money back they ā€œaren’t accepting calls right nowā€ because of course they aren’t.
