This is really disappointing. We were hoping for a good dumpling place on the upper east side. They had what they called i.e. “soft opening“. For one or two nights, they gave away free food. A soft opening means you are opening. Not! Then they were closed for a day or two. Then they had a big sign that said they would open on Sunday at noon. They did not! Our next hope was Monday at noon. I was there today. They have a take-out menu that has no prices! You must pay by credit card or on your phone! No cash! Today was to be their grand opening and yet they had very few items available. You have to order on a computer screen so if you have gone out to get a break from your own computer and looking at a screen, you have to do it here anyway. They are related to, or friendly with the people who supposedly took over salvos pizzeria. Don’t know how much of that is true as there is no sign that says new management. Since I could not eat at the dumpling shop, I went to try the pizza. Every single pizza looked like it had been laying there for a week! Nothing looks fresh or appetizing. So this was not my best day for eating out and on top of that at salvos there was someone at the register name, Matt. He was unfriendly, unpleasant. Nasty and sarcastic. Can I give them less than one star? As the owner was very nice and tried for good customer service and treated me to my lunch. I thought I should give it another try. I did. I had stopped in for a late lunch and found it still missing in many ways. The food was adequate. Not good not bad. The biggest problem is it is too hot to sit outside and hello how are you? All right I was thinking about you. How are you the air-conditioning is almost nonexistent. The other problem is the customer does all the work! You order on a screen. To find prices you have to look up, really look up the price list on the top of the ovens.( a ladder would be helpful.) . There are no prices on takeout menus. After you order you have to pay by credit card!!! You cannot use cash!!! (I don’t like putting my credit card out there and I don’t like charging for a seven dollar order of dumplings.“ After you get all this done you also have to give you a phone number! You are standing right there in a very small space, you can see when your order comes through. They tout grab and go. One of the things that does not travel well are dumplings. So eating them there would be better. They don’t have chairs they have stools, which are not particularly comfortable. They have been open a few weeks now and I don’t see where there has been any improvement in making it customer friendly. So, you as a customer, do all the work and you don’t get paycheck at the end of...

Read moreWe placed an order around 11 AM online and received that it would be ready at 11:10. When we arrived a couple minutes before 1110 the door was still locked and no one was inside. We waited outside and a worker came and opened the door. We waited another 10 minutes knowing it would take time for him to get everything ready for the day. At 11:20 we decided to go inside to wait and the employee told me that we could order on the kiosk, but nothing would be ready for at least 30 minutes. I told him I had already placed an order online and it said it would be ready at 11:10 and he informed me that the chef was not in yet and once he came in it would take at least 30 minutes. I asked him if he could cancel our order and to be honest I’m not sure if he did because shortly after we left I got a message that my order was ready… He also stated that even if the chef was on time, nothing would be ready until 11:30. I’m not sure why your hours state you open at 11 and the online ordering system tells us our order would be ready well before 11:30 if that’s not possible. Just bad...
