WOW. AMAZING. THANK YOU. HIGH YIELD: --No frills and might not be that quiet, but when you need relief none of that really matters. What matters is: Will they be able to find "THE SPOTS" and will they spend enough time on the right ones. As someone who has received hundreds of massages over the years, they receive my highest recommendation, especially with respect to the factors above.
The woman doing my massage (Anna I think?) didn't speak much English, so I said upper back and pointed to ambiguously around the upper left area, worried that I wasn't able to communicate exactly what and where was bothering me. I couldn't tell her the muscles along only the left side of my spine were pinching and throbbing and radiated all the way down to this one part of my lower back. Despite that, never has a massage therapist SO INTUITIVELY been able to localize my inflammation and pain. She hit all the right spots, and only those. She could tell EXACTLY what areas needed addressing.
She wasted no time on areas I wasn't actively in pain. She spent about 3-4 minutes on the right side, and only in the areas that I had some sub-acute discomfort (which she somehow also intuitively knew). If you have sought pain relief from massage you know the frustration when they move to another area that isn't bothering you just because it's their routine, and you wish they'd spend more time attending to the area that hurts most. This was SO APPRECIATED. I will absolutely be...
Read moreAvoid! This place was as far as possible from the experience they promised in the description of a Groupon deal we bought. First of all, it took us ages to make a reservation. Despite of what they wrote in the fine print, th voucher was not valid for Mon-Fri but Mon or Fri. The lady taking the reservations was probably the least polite person in New York. We called a couple of times to book a massage and every single time there was a problem and she either asked us to call back another day, or told us she would call us back but never did, or just hung up on us! We had to escalate it to Groupon. The whole thing took two months, a lot of calls, and stress. We got to the point we just wanted our money back and didn't want to use the service. We eventually got a reservation. The place was old, dingy, in a basement. We thought we were in the wrong place, but no. The two masseuses spoke little or no English. But they were nice and the massage was okay, so we left them a good tip. But the whole experience didn't make us want to come back. This was by far our worst massage experience, ever, in New York...
Read moreWARNING! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wish I read all the 1 star reviews first. They make you pay up front. I called and asked how much for 60 minutes, the lady said six-zero. When I walked in, she demanded I pay first (never heard of this before) I paid $75 which is over a 20% tip going in blind. 20 minutes into the massage the lady said she has another appt and I get 45 minutes. When I told her thatâs not what she told me, she said âno bargain I have other appointmentâ. If youâre reading this, please understand these people are scammers and this is a fake business. The ownerâs responses to other one star reviews are all from ChatGPT, they have broken English with bad grammar. BE CAREFUL!!!!!! PLEASE. As I was leaving I said to the lady and her co worker this is a crime and they laughed as I left. I hope my review not only steers customers away but allows others to speak up against...
