Passion Nail Studio — Local services in New York

I have been here a few times before and I wanted to make this my go to spot. Unfortunately, a couple days ago i had the worst experience with one of the Nail techs named Kelly. I had a reservation and they told me to come in an hour earlier, just for it to be completely busy and no one paying attention to you. i had one lady do my toes at first and she was really kind. however, kelly did my powder nails and was very aggressive with me and was pushing my fingers down and kept scoffing and rolling her eyes at me. she kept yelling at me to relax and was pushing my fingers down, where i was getting hurt and paid no mind to me at all. she didn’t even acknowledge me as a client. It felt completely disrespectful when another client came in right after and she was so sweet and nice to her and it honestly felt a bit targeted because her whole disposition changed up. At the end, they overcharged me because i paid with card (which is fine, i guess it’s normal for tax) but what irritated me is while I am leaving a tip, they are looking over me to make sure I did. I have always been big on tipping on the service you receive, and my tip was more so for the first lady, she makes a comment about it and makes me change it to double for them both and after i leave, they laugh about it too. they make it very obvious when they’re taking about other people and tbh they pick and choose who they’re kind to. This was my fourth time coming and i really did enjoy the salon until she ruined my experience for me. won’t be going back:)) ALSO my toes have already chipped...

Came here 6 months ago. This place itself is small and not too fancy looking but the service and their standards of cleanliness is really what stands out for me. I noticed that Yelp doesn't have any pictures of pedicures for this nail salon yet I decided to take a chance on getting one. They currently offer one of the lowest prices for regular pedicures in the area, if not THE lowest price. They quoted me $25 on the phone and they charged exactly that much, paid in cash (might be a few for paying with card). Lily did really thorough work, and even accommodated when I wasn't sure about which color to get by testing out the colors for me. She didn't spend too much time on scrubbing the bottom of my feet, but I actually dislike that part of pedicures. What Lily REALLY spent her time on was using the tools to extract the dead skin and debris from my nails, as well as making sure the end product looked really flawless. Unlike other pedicurists, she really painted into the edges of the nails and didn't miss. Short massages were scattered throughout the service, so if you expect long ones I think you might have to ask for it and they'll charge you. I can honestly do without it though, and they didn't rush me when I was sitting at the drying station. Would definitely...

Expensive expensive. Way over price for the products that they use and the details they give to the nails. It was my first time coming here. She definitely overcharged me for the full set that I got. She also cut me very deeply and hurt badly. I get the whole you get what you pay for but I definitely don’t think the price I paid was worth it . I never have a problem paying what is worth specially when it comes to my nails, but I was not satisfied with the end result. They were mid at best. They’re also not up-to-date with trends so if you’re looking for a place to do trendy nails, this is not it. They only do plain simple nails. I came here because I was in the area but I will not be returning back. Only thing I liked was the pedicure Because of the massage that I got. Which you also have to pay extra but I thought it was worth it. The pedicure was also very expensive with just color gel. No acrylic no powder nothing special just color gel.
