Brothers Seafood — Restaurant in New York

You can smell it through the bag 🤮. I’ve given this restaurant 3 chances across the years to wow me. They disappoint every time no exaggeration. If you like this place please reevaluate because the quality is extremely low. The fried chicken wings were crispy and soggy. At the same time. Weird. I ordered the fried whiting 3 different times and it was soft and crispy one time. The last 2 times, DISGUSTING. Hard, funky fishy mess. I wish I could share the video I have. Salmon always stinks and tastes old. I never get to actually eat it. I’ve tried it fried and steamed. Mac is nasty, collards bland and yam’s average. Just sweet. No spices. Yams should have both. Pea’s and rice taste like sazon…that’s it. Just red dye. Lastly the butter tastes SOOO WEIRD. It tastes like movie theater butter, and real butter doesn’t taste like that…I’m confused. Why is the seafood in this city so nasty. I’m ready to throw up. Run away from the shrimp and any other seafood they offer. Trust me. Best thing they have is the koolaid that they label as fruit punch lemonade. 🤦🏾‍♀️ and even that still wasn’t hitting frfr. Never again. Not even to give to the homeless....

I so wanted to like this place. I've been passing by for a few years now, and decided to give them a try. This is my first time placing an order and I used the Eat 24 app. They botched the order, but I'm willing to give them another chance.

Items were missing from my order. The restaurant says they added "extra" shrimp and fish to the items that were delivered, since some items weren't available. Ummmm...no you didn't. The 14 piece shrimp order still only had 14 pieces of shrimp. Same for the 5 piece shrimp and fish order. $13 is too much money to overlook for items not delivered.

Thankfully the fish and shrimp were not overly salty. The problem is, they were bland, no flavor at all.

I'm going to give this place another shot, but I'll go in next time as opposed to ordering through a delivery app. Maybe the flavor of the food missed the mark because it was almost time for...

I ordered 2 orders of fried catfish (1 with regular fries (bc they were out of sweet potato fries for my husband), and yams, and another order ot fried catfish with collards and Mac n' cheese, bc I do t eat yams. I ended up with 2 sides of yams, soggy fries and collards. I called to ask for a refund for the Mac or some way to fix it and they said come back (I live far away) or just forget about it basically. I spent over $30 for both meals and have a whole side of yams that will go in the trash. The person on the phone repeated the order back to me SEVERAL TIMES. it just sucks when you are looking forward to something (their Mac is bomb) and it comes out wrong and you spend a lot.of $$. With no help from the restaurant. Will definitely think twice before...
