I ate here yesterday September 23rd, 2023 between 10:30pm 11:15pm

So I need to address the ELEPHANT in the room…..Was I served JOLLOF RICE?!! Because when I had seen my plate come out the kitchen… I won’t lie i literally thought it was JOLLOF RICE… but after tasting it, I immediately knew it wasn’t. But LET IT BE KNOWN SAN JOSE’s RICE AND BEANS WAS PHENOMENAL! Perfectly cooked fluffy rice; beans was cooked amazingly!

My chips and salsa tasted fresh and homemade so that was enjoyable!

Now for the MAIN EVENT….

After a long day of mailman business and dropping off supplies at my family’s spot. I was craving A WRAP OR SOMETHING SIMILAR WITH EXTRA CONDIMENTS(y’all know how I do). So I had to dig deep and remember I’ve eaten at this establishment before but never reviewed this place yet.

I ordered the chicken and chorizo quesadilla (homemade corn tortilla)… FLAWLESS. The chicken was seasoned well balanced. Chorizo didn’t taste like it was cheap packaged meat. Everything to my point of view was fresh and good quality. But I must say I’d wish the ratio of bread to meat. I would of preferred a bit more meat…but there is an option for that. Bathroom was decent.. overall the night was ended beautifully with a live performance from some local artist who was singing karaoke which was also beautiful. Yeah I was mostly paying attention to my late dinner but anyway. It was goood. It’s all good. The staff were good. Food high quality made to order.

Considering I have been eating and ordering from this place for about a year, recommend people to go, and even bring people with me to eat there you'd think they would have some respect for their loyal consumers but no. Today I called and realized I did not have cash on me after making the order, so I called back to cancel it and the girl on the phone literally did no let me cancel my order saying it was already done, which how is it possible if it was legitimately a 5 minutes time frame and usually when I order I wait for my food like an hour and 15 minutes. Okay, I agree to get my food sure, I asked the delivery guy to keep the bottled drink since 1. I haven't touched it and 2. ITS OKAY TO RETURN SOMETHING YOU HAVEN'T OPENED NOR EVEN TOUCHED. The delivery guy made it a big deal and called the restaurant, at this point i'm aggravated because im still paying for my food im just not trynna get that bev like girl what? this girl was extremely disrespectful, and was giving me such a hard time ESPECIALLY during the difficult times we're in. Please have some decency when you talk to people that help pay for your salary, AND on top of that ALWAYS eat at the place. I don't care how bad of a day you're having, costumer service SHOULD ALWAYS be polite especially if i'm talking to you respectfully. Im never eating here again and its a shame, because the food isn't bad, that treatment was horrible though like I'm not...

This use to be a favorite spot but after today I will never step in this place again….. due to the language differences I always point to what I want so that there is no mistakes,today was no different so I pointed the QuesaBirria and said no tomatoes food was made I went home and noticed I had a burrito 🌯 I went back to Explain the mistake in broken English she claimed she watched the video in less than 5 mins and said that wasn’t what I pointed to since i didn’t want an broken English argument and I said fine just make what I want and I will just pay the difference or I’m fine with paying in full for what I want . She goes to the back I was assuming to place my new order but she calls the manager/owner ( I was wondering why the cooks was staring at me weirdly) she came back ,opens the return burrito spoke on the phone again and turns to me I asked what do I owe you she saids “sorry no return” slides the food I don’t want back to me .I say ok fine I will pay for what I really wanted she said “no sorry we no make that either “ I told her she has lost an faithful customer! I ate her 1-2 a week and order the same 2 things every time ! I supported throughout the pandemic the old counter girl was so nice ….
