My experience at Bubbakoos’ new Staten Island location was so negative and disappointing.
I waited 45 minutes for my food AFTER ordering in advance, being ignored for 10 minutes in store and then waiting for them to prepare the food because they never even looked at my order. I also had to substitute a portion of what I ordered because it was still “frozen” OR I could have waited another 10 minutes for them to make a new batch.
The store was run by a bunch of young guys who had no sense of customer service nor health and safety guidelines. Each member had their mask wrapped around there chin, serving no purpose while preparing everyone’s meals.
The employees‘ “friends” came in during my 45 minute wait WITH NO MASKS AT ALL (turned out to be other employees off the clock) and proceeded to ask the working members to make them food while other customers were in the establishment still waiting for there food. The fact that these were other employees who work at this location was so unfortunate and disheartening.
This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had in a food chain and for anyone wanting to try out this location, I would think twice. 👎🏼🗑
Update (After Store Reply)
The fact that you replied with lies only solidifies my review. You don't know who I am because if you did, you'd know I was DEFINITELY in there longer than 12 minutes and you never acknowledged all of the terrible things within my review. I was NEVER offered free chips/guac (besides, it was something I already paid for in my on the go order). It was only "busy" because your employees (off the clock) came in unmasked (SAME AS THE EMPLOYEES) and demanded food to be made for them first, in which the employees who were working, complied. No need to respond when there wasn't even an active manager on the floor to watch this fiasco take place. This location is trash! If my review was completely false, let's see the tapes! I'd love to show those off the clock and on the clock employees not following state mandated Covid guidelines and procedures, more than one customer waiting while the employees helped themselves and online food orders being...
Read moreI went in person last week with my son & ordered the sweet chili shrimp soft tacos, the young man who was preparing my order asked me what toppings I wanted on my tacos closed the container, took my payment and I left, only to get all the way home and take a bite out of one of my tacos to discover that he hadn’t put not one piece of shrimp on my tacos making me have to drive back to the location, now what really upset me is that when I walked in with the order in my hand the same young man looked over at me clearly recognized me from just leaving the restaurant & never bothered to even ask if he could help me or ask what was the problem with the order instead he stared at me briefly, sadly I’m assuming the owner or manager had come out from the back at this point & also just looked at me. A young lady who also worked there was the one who actually assisted me and apologized. I was appalled that while I was waiting for my order to be corrected another customer who was dining in came up with her order of quesadillas in her hand & went over to the same young man who had also prepared her food to complain that her food for whatever be the reason tasted gross. This place needs to either be shut down with all the horrible reviews it’s been getting or needs a whole new staff in there with proper training, doubt I will be going back to...
Read moreBubbakoo's Burritos has a few ingredient variations that sets it apart from the likes of Moe's, Chipotle, and Qdoba.
Some of those things are some fun and tasty sauces and dry flavorings like BBQ and Nashville Hot to add to your meals and also some currently rare ingredient options like fried cauliflower.
Like most other food chains, they also have an app. It's a great way to figure out what your order is going to be without waiting in line and asking tons of questions as to what's available. The app also comes with benefits of a loyalty rewards program, free cookie on your birthday, and other little perks. I got a free order of chips + queso with my rewards club sign up.
The parking lot is busy and I ended up parking a good distance away to get a spot.
I think the fountain drink prices are pretty high - I paid about $3.25 or so for a small fountain drink cup but ultimately the value is still good for meal overall.
If you want a fountain drink but order through the app, you might have to order the drink separately. There wasn't an option to add that to my mobile order.
The location is clean and staff...
