Casa Birria NYC (Food Truck) — Restaurant in New York

This food truck is worth the hype! Fantastic flavors, wonderful service, and reasonable Manhattan prices. The menu is simple and delicious. I tried the tacos, quesadilla, and the consome. The truck is normally located on the corner of 86th st. Take-out only, no seating available, cash and credit are both accepted. Can be found on Instagram. To caveat, this is my first birria taco experience but i thoroughly enjoyed these tacos.

3 tacos plus the consomme comes to $14 and it was perfect for lunch.

I love how the tacos are warm and crispy to hold up to the dipping. I'm a huge fan of all things dipping (french dip, soba, tsukemen) and this was great.

It is a truck so definitely be on the lookout for it. Today, they didnt have a parking spot so they were just there. You also have to find a spot to eat so i just ate at the shake shack...

I had the quesadilla as well, and was very disappointed especially given the great reviews the place has. It was very very greasy/oily, the lettuce/pico etc was mushed into the container and not really useful to put on/with the food. the salsa and sour cream portions were microscopic, and the salsa had pretty much no flavor and no heat whatsoever.

I wish this place was good--maybe I have to try the tacos next time, but i would definitely say AVOID...
