Casa Doro Deli — Restaurant in New York

I’ve been coming here for my whole life. Almost 3 decades. It’s sad to see that ever since they renovated they got SOOO STINGY. The bread is always stale, and the prices don’t reflect the quality.

I paid $10 for this ham and cheese hero which was 80% lettuce.

I always like supporting local businesses but not when they are outright robing their customers. They blamed it on the new employee, but new employee or not that just means they didn’t teach the new employee. Which means they don’t care about their customers.

They do have boars head, but I’ve been to other places with boars head who are not this cheap and stingy. If they take this as an attack that just means they don’t plan to improve and do better.

I did go back and show them the embarrassment. They ended up adding on more meat but it should have never been served like this to begin with. On top of that they should have remade the sandwich as a whole not just put it on so sloppily.

The customer service is terrible. They’re rude. Simple as that. I greeted them and said hi- no response. The guy at the counter couldn’t bring himself to look up from his phone when ringing me up. When I asked if they had Apple Pay, he was short. When I said thank you, he just kept staring at his phone and handed me the receipt. I’m born and raised in the Bronx and in the neighborhood, and that’s just not how folks behind the counter are. Oddly enough, he was perfectly friendly to the woman before me. Who knows. Never...

My go to place when, IM being lazy in am . Great Pork bacon (any variety bacon /sausage) you want egg& cheese on roll/hero. Any variety of bagels w/cream cheese 😋 Yummy. Fresh Bread delivery at 6-7am & 7pm weather premitting cakes reasonably priced. Great coffee different variety of snacks drinks. Love their heros sandwhiches. Get your newspaper.
