During my first NYC visit, I searched extensively for the best cookies and kept encountering Chip City as a top recommendation. With multiple locations, I chose the most accessible one. Luckily, there was no crowd when I visited.
The moment I stepped in, the aroma of freshly baked cookies was irresistible, and the staff were friendly and polite. What sets Chip City apart is their diverse range of flavors, including unique monthly specials. I tried the classic chocolate chip cookies and brookies.
Both cookies were large, thick, and delightful. The edges were crisp and caramelized, while the centers were dense, gooey, and decadent. The chocolate chip cookie was generously loaded with chips, and the brookie was rich and very chocolatey. I couldn’t pick a favorite—they were both outstanding.
These were hands down the best cookies I've ever had. I only wish they were available in my city so I could try all their flavors. They also offer vegan options that looked great. Overall, Chip City is a must-visit for...
Read moreI got there practically as soon as it opened and all the flavors were already there and good to go. It looked like they were being thawed rather than baked fresh, but that makes sense, given that it was still the morning. This time, I tried the banana nut, pumpkin spice latte, and classic chocolate chip. Pumpkin spice felt a bit bland, save for the filling which I wasn’t a fan of either…but wow did the banana nut make up for it!
There was friendly service at this Chip City, just like the other one at Rockefeller. And actually, I’d only intended to buy one cookie but when the cashier suggested the 3 cookie deal, I couldn’t resist. My only complaints are that the store is a little too small for comfort (can’t be helped though, it’s NYC) and that I didn’t know there was merch available until much later…totally would have picked up a cute cookie pin if I had known - but that is no one’s fault but mine haha. As always, Chip City stays...
Read moreCounter staff was supper friendly and patient as I didn’t know what I wanted and even gave me suggestions and time to order. However as I was eating the cookie, I bit into something hard and plastic that broke into smaller pieces. I’m a little paranoid that I’ve swallowed some of those tiny pieces but I think I’m fine. I’m more concerned of the larger piece. Supper bummed because I was super excited to eat the cookie but I’m afraid there might be more inedible objects. I love chip city and have always supported for 2 years. But this is by far the worst experience. I just ask for Chip City to be more careful next time.
I didn’t want to leave this negative review to the world but I couldn’t find a place to privately email or send any of my concerns with chip city. I’m hoping this could reach to them so they can be more mindful and aware of what’s inside...
