Poor customer service, good food.
The food tasted alright, as we were quite hungry after a museum tour. The main issue was the terrible customer service. While it was acceptable in the beginning, the waitress, an elderly Chinese woman, ultimately started showing her disinterest in helping our table. Initially, although the waitress was pretty impatient in getting our orders and such, it was tolerable. Towards the end, however, she had shown us an embarrassing, poor display of customer service. She repeatedly informs us that we must pay the 'compulsory' tip when handing the receipt. We didn't mind paying since we had an enjoyable time, even if there were only 5 of us (as tips are usually not mandatory for groups of less than 6). However, as she comes by the table a few more times to process the receipt, at one point, she threw the pen and receipt holder on our table, enough for us to understand that she was acting unprofessional. This ruined our overall experience at this location and left a bad aftertaste.
She then has the audacity to look at the receipt for the tip and show her dissatisfaction (leaning on the table and sighing) as...
Read moreAn afternoon at this establishment was an enchanting culinary escapade, accompanied by my debonair companion. We ventured into the world of the Bento Box, and what a discovery it was! The portions were so generous that one could almost use them as stepping stones across a culinary ocean of delight. It's like they'd struck a deal with the portion genie himself. The value for your precious dinero? Absolutely stellar.
The service, oh the service, was a symphony of kindness and attentiveness. The staff, perpetually adorned with beaming smiles, could teach the sun a thing or two about radiance. If happiness were a currency, this place would be the Federal Reserve, and they were printing joy like there's no tomorrow.
And now, the pièce de résistance - the ice cream! As we delved into a scoop of red bean gelato, we were transported to a gelato utopia. It's as though the gelato gods themselves had whipped up this masterpiece. The flavor was a chorus of rich, creamy notes with red bean accents that danced on our palates. It was nothing short of gelato nirvana....
Read moreI ordered the chicken katsu and it comes as any other katsu dish you order in a Japanese restaurant. But I could taste the quality of the chicken was not the best. The cutlet was thinner than normal, I get that they probably hammered it to tenderized it, it was a bigger in size so maybe they really stretched the meat during the process but that wasn't a problem as it didn't feel dried (compared to a thicker juicy piece) but it did feel greasier and the flavor or the chicken wasn't hitting the spot. I really love ordering chicken katsu so I probably have eaten thousands in my life time. If you are not so conscious about it and just want some "fried chicken" then it won't bother you (I'm too exigent maybe). The accompanying miso soup hit the spot, and warmed me up on a cold day. Edamame were good as normal as it comes. THE SERVICE WAS SPECTACULAR 💯. They didn't have many clients on a...
