This place is amazing on so many levels! It's a must go to spot once in your life thing. I would have to write alot to explain all about this place so I'll give you the short version, parking is extremely hard to find because of course, you're in New York city! There is parking under the building and you have to obviously pay for it or you might get lucky on one of the streets. And it's a little walk to get Inside so put good walking shoes on because you're going to get your steps in here lol there is a new Shark exhibit and it's really cool! But it's a little room that's fast to go through. The gems and minerals part is literally out of this world and more beauty then can ever imagine! The Dino exhibit is amazing to see these huge skeletons of what was long ago! And much much more! There are elevators and stairs you can take. Bathrooms everywhere and food and drinks and gift shops! Everything you do at the end has a gift shop, before you leave the museum that gift shop has everything all the others have, so don't load up on the way and have to carry all that stuff around with you all day! Bring a backpack that helps, and they will search it before entering! As well as walking through a metal detector. They are still requesting you ware a mask and will give you one if forgotten for free. People from all over the world come here every day. That says it all. So be safe and have a great time at one of our very best museums of...
Read moreI'm not a museum person but anything to do with space has always intrigued me. The space shows I saw here today were spectacular. The Big Bang Theater was a circular theater with an inverted dome in the center that everyone stood around. The show was only a couple of minutes long, but it made me feel like I was flying through the cosmos. The Hayden Planetarium had a space show on Dark Matter. This blows away any other planetarium I have ever been to before. It was like watching an IMAX space movie on the curved roof. The seats even vibrated during the show. Well worth the price of admission just for this wing of the museum.
Tip: Buy your tickets online before you go to save on waiting in line at the museum. I walked right up to the Will Call window on the lower level and went right...
Read moreAn inspirational place to science lovers. As a person who loves astrophysics and learning, I had awestruck moments to learn about big bang and other scientific events that lead to the formation of our universe and solar system. The people have beautifully maintained this place and structured the artifacts in such a way that depicts the story from start to the current state. Will Definitely recommend this place to my family and friends. I would suggest to spend more time if you have in these places to enjoy the nuances that you won’t see on...
