Chirping Chicken — Restaurant in New York

The food is great. The customer service, terrible. They don’t own up when they make a mistake. I clearly asked for mashed potatoes and sautéed string beans as my sides. They sent me rice & beans instead of mashed potatoes and when I called back apparently the young lady that took my order misheard me. No apologies. They insisted that a man called and ordered rice & beans. It was definitely me that placed the order and I definitely asked for mashed potatoes because I didn’t even know they had rice & beans. (I just asked a coworker if they had mashed potatoes and if they were good.) Suddenly they had a $30 minimum to deliver 2 train stops away and they were doing ME a favor. Straight comedy. Get someone that can hear on the phone and don’t make up fake minimums when you’re dead wrong. Just own up and fix your mistake. And that was the second chance. Another young lady in the office ordered 2 days before and the delivery guy struggled with directions so bad she received her food upside down and 2 hours late. Needless to say, the entire office has counted out Chirping Chicken on Buhre Ave as a lunch...

I love this place the food is delicious. They cook their ribs and chicken on the grill right in front of you. Everything here is delicious all the sides ,the salad, the fries, the rice.ect....it is a family owned business. The owner is there most of the time. He and the staff are friendly. The business is in a busy Bronx location so they serve a culturally diverse community and make everyone feel welcomed. The parking is curbside. You are subject to D.O.T metered parking regulations.the hood news is a lot of the traffic and parked vehicles are buying food from the chirping chicken or one of the other businesses on the street.so parking spaces tuen over quickly. I never waited to long for a parking space. The prices are fair. The food is delicious the the portion are nice. The service is fast. If you are anywhere in the Bronx it is worth going out of your way to get some of the delicious flame grilled chicken and ribs. You won't be...

Came here because I was craving a chicken sandwich. I called to make sure they were open. I asked for fried chicken sandwich the lady on the phone didn’t understand at first but then told me they only grill the chicken. After ordering I asked for the total she said $26 I ordered two chicken sandwiches and French fries. I asked how much for the chicken sandwich she said $10 each. I’ve never been here before but was like ok hopefully it taste really good for that price. Once there I see they grill the chicken up front for everyone walking into the restaurant to see.
