Novelty Eats — Restaurant in New York

I finally got an order from Novelty Eats. The first order with Door Dash went missing, even though said delivered. By the way, I will never use Door Dash again. I'm not going to blame Novelty for that. However, my mother and daughter wanted to try it again, this time we used Grub hub. The food came right on time, which is a plus. However, the order had missing items (1 shake and the works fries). Plain fries came instead with my daughter's Blazing Burger.(considering you are charged extra for the works fries it's disappointing). My mother wanted a Grilled Veggie Wrap with onion rings. She didn't like the wrap at all. She said it is to greasy, the eggplant was almost raw, she didn't taste any of the vinegar dressing that is supposed to be on there, and the onion rings, while they are made from real sliced onions, were soggy. She also ordered a ginger ale soda, and the size of it was fit for a child, it was half the size of a regular can of soda, but they charged $1.25 for it. I ordered a Novelty Supreme Burger with onion rings. The burger is very tasty, but again, the onion rings were so soggy they were limp. Maybe it's because the place is new and just opened last week. Still, for the price of the food, I don't think I will be ordering from them again. I highly recommend Novelty Eats (and Novelty Burgers - not sure why they have two "stores" on Grubhub with somewhat different menus. Super fast delivery. There were no mistakes on my special requests and they didn't forget one item. This is my new go-to for deliveries!This was my second time ordering from Novelty Eats - I tried it for the first time less than a week ago and it was so good I had to order again! This time I got: Veggie Chips (eggplant and zucchini in some kind of batter, I'm assuming it was deep fried), Novelty Angel Hair Fries (how could you turn down something made with truffle oil and cotija cheese?!), Santorini Wrap, Craft Your Own Burger (I requested Lettuce, Tomato, Avocado, Pepperjack Cheese, Medium Rare), Hail Caesar Salad (w/ Blue Cheese dressing and I added chicken), and TWO banana almond milkshakes (it was soo good last time so I had to order 2 this time!). The first time around I ordered, I got the Juicy Lucy Burger (Medium Rare w/ Sweet Potato Fries), Veggie Chips, Craft Your Own Novelty Nachos (I picked Tri-Color Nachos, Novelty Salsa, Salsa Verde Salsa, Chicken, Pico de Gallo, Black Olives, Mixed Cheese, Avocado, Chickpeas, and Guacamole), I also ordered a Banana Almond Milkshake and a Peanut Butter Chocolate Shake. Recently I had the displeasure of eating Novelty Eats via their beyond burger and fries that I ordered delivery for. The food looked great, it was hot, tasted good and i was very satisfied with the portions and the price for the most part. And then about 2 hours went by and I had severe stomach aches and felt nauseous. Ultimately when I couldn’t fight it anymore ended up violently throwing up my entire order. Good news is I felt much better afterwards. Bad news is I will never order from or eat at novelty eats ever again. As someone who even continued to eat chipotle throughout the multiple food safety crisis, I never thought I would get as sick as I did. So don’t take this review with a grain of salt but more like a large industrial sized bag of salt in that THIS FOOD IS NOT CLEAN OR GOOD. I would love to be contacted to provide additional feedback, like how to clean a stovetop, change the oil in the fryer and make sure employees are washing their hands.
