Tulcingo Cafe — Restaurant in New York

If you go to any other Mexican place in this area you’re setting yourself up for failure. We found this place since we live right around the block and we’re just walking by - we thought it was a little corner store but we were pleasantly surprised by the fact that they also had an entire restaurant menu.

Dude.

The portions? 100000/10. That alone gives them 4 stars, these people are so nice and almost every plate is generously portioned, ALONG with the sauces or dips they offer Ali my with them.

And the quality of the food is absolutely outstanding. Delicious!

Food is mediocre at best. I've had better around Yankee stadium, Harlem & Fordham. Even Yonkers. The employees come off as rude & don't listen. They talk bad about customers in spanish & then act like nobody understands. The portions are ok for the most part but nothing about the flavor really helps. Generic with somewhat old tomatoes & lettuce. The atmosphere presents itself as welcoming, but the employees again will have you fooled. They had canceled my order after a misunderstanding with grunhub, after I went to pick it up they still told me they weren't going to make my food & they told me ppl like me aren't allowed to order from here. My go to place for delicious Mexican food. I've been steadily working my way through their menu for weeks. This is the place that once you try...you wish you went in sooner! The burritos are a perfect blend of flavor and size, tacos are delish and their clam chowder soup is top notch! I'm in love with their pastrami and egg sammich as well as their Texas burger(comes with fried egg on top) which is a addiction of mine.
