Cuenca Coffee Shop — Restaurant in New York

This place is lovely; it hits just like a classic meal you would eat at home in Ecuador. If I could, I would give it a 4-star review since in the past it never failed to feel like home. But today, things just started to go downhill for the restaurant. The wait wasn't long since most of the time it's empty, but today there were a few families. After seating, we got our orders taken at the 7-minute mark. We got complimentary popcorn 2 minutes later. Drinks came after 6 minutes. But she forgot one, and as I'm writing this, she still hasn't brought it out. Then we have the food. It usually takes about 10-15 minutes to get out, but since people kept coming in and ordering takeout, they were prioritized. Then other smaller groups came in to sit and eat, and they got their food quickly while my family and I were still waiting for ours. Also, old tables that were once sat at haven't been cleaned yet either. Yes, this place does hit like old memories of our home country, but having to wait over an hour for food while new walk-ins get theirs the moment they sit down is ridiculous. If you are willing to wait, then it's worth it, but today it isn't. Plus, the AC is broken at the moment; it feels like you will melt before...

Came here with my family for lunch and left extremely disappointed. The service is awful and the food is really bad. We waited for our drinks for about 20 minutes until we specifically asked for them and that’s when they were finally brought out. We waited for our food for about a hour or more. The Ceviche de Camarones was spoiled and it had to be sent back. How are you serving spoiled seafood to your customers?
