D'Angelo's Pizzeria and Restaurant - Gun Hill — Restaurant in New York

I have been a loyal customer of this establishment since before the current owners took over. I noticed after some time that the young lady who sometimes takes the orders is not at all friendly. I’ve had multiple issues with orders as well. Most recently I ordered $60 worth of food. One of the items was a ground beef and cheese calzone. When it arrived it was missing the ground beef. I called back and spoke to a gentleman who went back and forth with the young lady and I could hear her ranting through the phone, even though she made the error. He asked if I’d like to return the wrong one and get a corrected one made. I said yes. The woman again starts yelling in the background. The young man responded to her, “She understands that.” Then comes back to me and says, “Just please make sure you give back the other one.” To which I responded that yes of course I would. While I had no problem giving back the old one, I couldn’t help but feel disgusted. What was she going to do with a calzone that was sitting in someone’s house. Any professional restaurant would have never made such a bizarre request. I came to the conclusion that her mind set was, “They just want free food. Even if I’m throwing it away, they’re not keeping that calzone for free.” Again, didn’t want it so it’s fine, but it’s insulting to be treated like that as a long time customer. Then she had the nerve to write on all the items, “Leave a google review!” Well, young lady, your wish is granted. This is my second time having a bad experience with this pizza shop. Their food is good but their customer service is HORRIBLE!

On two occasions my Pizza was delivered extremely late, I had to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes for it to be delivered the 2nd time I order with them.

I called three times to get an update on my order, two out of the three times I called I was placed on hold for 10 minutes and both calls were dropped calls.The last time I called from a private # and was able to get a hold of someone. The employee on the phone was unapologetic for the Delay and not affable.

I placed my order before noon which is before my lunch break and received it the last 15min of my break, on top of that my food was COLD and the delivery driver was upset that I did not give a tip. I will not be ordering...

Had a horrible experience today with Diangelos pizza on gun hill rd.

I place an order of baked ziti and garlic knots.

A young lady took my order.

I call back approximately an hour later to find out the status of my order .

I paid with my debit card .

This guy who calls himself John tell me that I have them the wrong address !!!! And I can’t get the food that I ordered.

No one even took the time to call me to check the address.

I even spelled the name of my street to her !!!

To make matters worst …

John TELLS ME THAT I GAVE THEM THE WRONG ADDRESS THAT IM BEEN LIVING AT FOR SEVEN YEARS !!!!
