I booked from this place for 2 nights, 5/9/25- 5/11/25, I arrived around 2am. I was taken to my room, I immediately told the person I couldn’t sleep there, the sheets were nasty, the bathroom was nasty, dead roaches in the tub, live roaches, window broken, curtains nasty. I couldn’t believe my eyes, it was horrendous. I took pictures and sent them to booking, I have a new phone so I no longer have access to the photos. I couldn’t find anything else in the area so me and my Fiance stayed, we were given a new room, it was the same, the guy gave me brand new sheets, when I took the sheets off the bed I could’ve vomited to see all the stains on the mattress. I practically set up most of the night, we got up at 7 am, I went to the front desk and told them I didn’t mind paying for the night we stayed but I needed to cancel for the next night, my sister traveled with us, her and her daughter had a separate room, the same exact issues. We were promised a refund for both nights, my sister received hers I never received mine. 4 months later still nothing. I called they said they sent the $ back to booking, I’ve been in contact with both parties, nothing happened. I called recently, upon knowing who I was, the guy pretended the phone was messing up and hung up on me, now when I call no one answers, I believe they know my number, I have a ga number. However this place is very unprofessional, I can’t believe they’re renting these rooms to people in the condition it’s in. It looks fair from the outside, upon entering it’s a different story. I plan to take them to small claims court for my refund, I paid turn $275, although it’s not a lot, it’s the principle. I’ve never dealt with a company that that refuses to deal with their customers on a professional level. I’m very upset with this hotel and booking. Please don’t utilize this place, the few hours I was their itching, im certain they have bed bugs, my arms was itching. I took everything back to the car and we trashed our clothing once we got to our new hotel, I nearly scrubbed my skin from my body. I advise no one to book here! I also recommend BOOKING, PRICELINE, TRIP.COM any third parties to remove them because it’s making them look bad as well. This experience here I will never book through booking evvvveeeerrrr again, I’m certain this isn’t the first complaint they received about this property. All money isn’t good money, this is...

This hotel essentially increased the price on the night I arrived, at 1am in the morning, and lied to me about it.

When I came in, I was asked for a confirmation number, so I showed them the email I was sent that said "Confirmed Reservation - ROYAL HOTEL BRONX - Confirmation #2564276971004". They said that this "isn't a confirmation number" and that "a confirmation number should start with a 4". I told them this was the confirmation number they gave me, and they just repeated that a confirmation number should start with a 4.

Eventually they asked for my ID, and they told me my reservation had been cancelled because my payment didn't go through. My bank didn't notify me of any declined transaction, but it's possible they were telling the truth. However, I hadn't received any communication from the hotel telling me that my reservation was cancelled, so this was news to me.

I asked the receptionist if they had a room, and he said he could put me in a room with two beds (I had previously booked a room with one bed) for $200/night. For context, I was planning to stay for two nights, and the way I remembered it, I had originally paid $300 for this two-night stay. But it was 1am, so I wasn't sure.

The receptionist told me he could knock the price for two nights down to $350, taxes and fees included. I told him I needed a minute to consider it. After sitting in the lobby for a bit, he said "listen, you had $350 for two nights, and I'm offering $350 for two nights", so I said "fine" and I took the offer.

When I got up to my room, I checked my email for the original receipt, and lo and behold, I did only pay $300 initially, taxes and fees included. So this hotel increased the price of my stay by $50 on the night I arrived and tricked me into accepting the new higher price by giving me false information about what the price was originally was going to be.

Also, the bathroom door was shitty and needed to be slammed at full force to close or open, and I saw a cockroach in the bathroom on the first night.

The rest of the experience was fine. The beds were comfortable enough and the location was good for the price. They asked for a $60 cash deposit when I checked in and they gave it back promptly when I checked out, no questions asked. I would give them four or five stars if they hadn't changed the price and two or three stars if they had been honest about the...

I checked into this place, on 8/22/25. When I got there, I was a turned off, as the attendant was kind of curt, but I didn't worry about that too much. I went up to my room, 503, and wondered, what the hell did I get myself into. The room stunk, with dingy sheets, pillow cases and well used towels. I had my own, thank God!!!. The mattress was totally old and worn out, so it was very uncomfortable. I was supposed to be there until the 26th, but, this morning, on 8/24, I woke up to reddness, burning and swelling to my left upper arm. Swollen, red and burning in three different areas. I went downstairs to complain and showed the attendant my arm. He stated, that I'm the first person to complain about this. He offered to change my room, but ofcourse I declined. However, he said that I should call Priceline and have them call him. I did call Priceline and they said they sent an Email to the motel, which he claimed to had not received. I had to check in another hotel, out of pocket, again. I have been calling this rude guy, who proceeded to tell me that the room is nonrefundable. Ok, sir, I paid for a service that should not have included bed bugs!!!! Now multiple areas of my body, are, red, swollen itching and burning. This is technically, robbery. You did not provide the service paid for. All I ask for it the refund for the two nights that I didn't stay there. This will be escalated. (I was trying to upload the pictures of skin, but this doesn't...

Stayed for 5 days 4 nites and I have to say after reading some of the reviews I was a lil scared - but some ppl on here truly exaggerate- the room was pretty nice and clean - I do have to say it could’ve been just a tad cleaner- but only because the back of the doors needed to be cleaned and some of the walls could’ve been wiped down - but I had no roaches as others claim on their reviews that the rooms had- there isn’t a fridge or a microwave in the room ( why I rated the room a 3) which was a lil stressful bc keeping things cold was tuff when all you have is ice buckets -they should definitely consider getting small fridge’s for rooms-also the doors in the room slam extremely loudly which was tuff to sleep -overall I had a good experience- location was great - it was very commercial, plenty of places to get food and grocery stores near by - and we did find parking at nite with no problem- i would stay here again

Everything was dirty and gross. I'm not usually picky, but the door handle to the room was sticky, the walls in the room were filthy, the floor in the bathroom had pinkish stain on it that extended to the mirror and the ceiling, the sheets were dirty (I'd read the reviews and brought my own) ac worked but needed some prodding, 1 live cockroach spotted, awful smelling elevator, there's on street parking wherever available-no hotel parking, the neighborhood is run down and unless you're a local there's no reason to be there. This is a last resort place to stay.

The Room was disgusting. Me and my partner saw dead roaches on the floor & baby live roaches. It’s disgusting. The bed has stains and a burnt hole on it. The bathroom tub has stains, the shower curtain has stains and I saw a piece of hair on it. They DO NOT clean the rooms, if they did I wouldn’t be seeing things like that. And why do we have to pay $60 in cash at the front for damages??? And we paid 94 for the room. The only thing that was nice in there was the sink area. It looked luxury. Everything else was bad. I will not be coming back here ever again.
