On Valentine’s Day we’re party off 4 we went in excepted to have a great time like any other BBQ‘s. We go to this young lady the waitress set us down at a table that was extremely dirty so we asked to be sat at another table so our table was changed by another young lady and the lady came to took the order without presenting herself who she was took our order without asking us if the drink we want was Texas size or regular she decided to make it a Texas size on her. She took the order absolutely wrong. I ordered something else and got something else instead of what I orderedwe asked for hot water in a cup so we could dip our utensils. She came around brought four plastic utensils in a clear bag and I just threw it on the table. I decided to eat the food anyway because I did not wanna cause a scene then she came around. Is everything OK? I said no because the food that I ordered was wrong, then she looked at her notes and said oh yeah you right I’ll bring you to steak and then I said no it’s OK. She said I’m gonna bring it for you so I said it’s gonna be additional charge she started to be sarcastic. She said no I’m gonna charge you $100 trying to be funny so she brought a steak out within five minutes, knowing we waited almost we waited almost half an hour to receive our first meal so I did not touch the steak because I was like where the hell did she get a shit from it was the worst customer service of my experience with BBQ I’m a regularly known at the 42nd location and then also I’m a Mcdonald owner of seven locations throughout New York and Connecticut. It is extremely sad that we have to experience this specially on a great holiday, which was Valentine’s Day to spend with family but never again would I visit or recommend this location to anyone The customer service part was the worst I can’t even make a complaint with her name cause I was never introduced with her name and any other BBQ that I attend. Hi my name is so-and-so. I’m your waitress today. No name attitude things we requested. Never got just ridiculous. It’s not about the money we spend We just came in for a great time and just...
Read moreWhy isn't 0 stars allowed?! Service AND food was HORRIBLE!! Waited to be seated for about 10 minutes (even though it is a Tuesday night and the restaurant wasn't busy). Asked for crayons for my son and the server told me he would see what he could do (finally had to go walk up and ask for them myself). The server took our drink order and about 15 minutes later came to take our food order. An hour later and still no food. Took my son to change him since at this point he sees and smells the food and is getting crankier by the minute. When i got back to the table the food had FINALLY been delivered, but it was ALL cold (We ordered a 5 piece crispy wings and a quarter chicken with a baked potato with a side of rice). Brought it to the servers attention and he just rolled his eyes and took the plates. When we asked for the manager all he did was take my son's "apple juice" (definitely tasted like High-C) and the cold truffle mac and cheese (that got to the table in minutes) off the bill. As we were asking for the check for the drinks the server came back (with what looked like the same food) probably all of 3 minutes after initally taking it off the table. (If we can get "fresh hot food" that fast, why did we wait over an hour at this point?!). When we were given the check for the 2 drinks, gratuity was already included and "nothing could be done". Will NEVER go back to this location again. WAY better service and food at the Chelsea location that is a million times busier on...
Read moreBEWARE: NO REFILLS, FOLKS!
I visited this establishment with my family to celebrate a birthday, and unfortunately, our experience was far from what we had hoped for. The service was mediocre at best, and here's why:
We were seated in the back corner of the restaurant, in the large party section. The waitress took our drink and appetizer orders promptly, and the appetizers arrived quickly—no complaints there. But that’s where the positive experience ended.
After waiting almost an hour for our entrees, I was shocked to learn that refills were not offered—at least, not without being charged full price. When I asked the waitress for refills, she informed me that we’d have to pay for them, even though we were given the option of "regular" or "large" when we first ordered. At no point was I told that refills would not be available or that we would be charged extra.
It’s hard to understand why a restaurant would have a "no-refill" policy, especially when you make customers wait nearly an hour for their meals. The place wasn’t even busy, which makes the delay even more concerning. While the food itself was good, the service and lack of communication left a bad taste in my mouth.
Sadly, I won’t be returning to this establishment again. With the no-refill policy and slow service, it’s simply not worth it. And unfortunately, this means my entire family—my kids included—will be looking elsewhere for our future dining experiences.
Goodbye, BBQ. You’ve lost a...
