There’s dumpling you should know. @maddumplings makes some of my favorite dumplings 🥟 Mac and cheese dumplings are shockingly delicious, even if they’re of course not the classic dumplings you’re used to. They do have longanisa dumplings, on the slightly more traditional side, which are actually my favorite. Their Long Beach location is opening this month, stay tuned. They also cater, so you can have a big dumpling party. . . . #dumpling #foodreel #orangecounty #ocfood #woah #chinesefood #feast #irvine #orange #thingstodooc

It’s a cool place with great food! For 3 of us our bill was about $105. We ordered 2 appetizers, a regular beverage, a large house sake and 3 main dishes. It wasn’t busy when we came but it picked up while we were there. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The music was great and was suitable for a Thursday evening. The look/decor of the place was pretty cool. Overall great vibe- not too dark but not overly bright! They have a good size menu with plenty of options. If your vegan/vegetarian options are limited. One star off because service could be a tad bit better. Like I said it wasn’t crowded when we came but our server seemed occupied. We had to look for the menu which is just a barcode on the wall by the table. I do feel like as the night went on our server got a bit more friendly/attentive so maybe he was really busy when we first got in. Our table was also closer to the door which was a bit annoying because we would get a gush of cold air every time someone came or left 😄. Not too big of a deal but just an fyi if that stuff bothers you! Also sadly not 1 dessert on the menu :/ Overall if I lived closer I would visit again as I think the price is great and the food was delicious!

I thought this would be one of those pretentious, overpriced BK spots; tg I was wrong. I had the spicy miso ramen. Although it wasn't very spicy, it was incredibly good. I'm usually not into pork broth, but this one was VERY good. The 2 slices of pork were cooked to melt in your mouth 👅 the egg was v delicious. The portion size couldn't be more perfect. The service was EXCELLENT also! Since Lucy's closed, we needed a neighborhood noodle spot 🙏🏼🙏🏼 UPDATE: 5⭐x2 Had ramen, chicken clear soup, and chiang mai noodle delivered. Three separate orders. I'll never order noodles from another place again. First of all, they know how to pack it. I've never had anything that travelled this well. Second, they delivered to my door, not the building door, at least 20 minutes early every time. Third, THIS IS THE BEST CHICKEN SOUP PERIOD and that's on period! I actually hate chicken but I'm sick and desperate. I would eat this every day omgg. They threw three eggs in my ramen 🙏🏼 the flavor is perfect and it looks beautiful. Please take all of my money.

Dock Asian Eatery is a beautiful spacious restaurant in Bushwick. They serve Japanese and Thai food with ease and grace.

The staff was gracious and so attentive. The bar was beautiful. We sat upstairs in a loft dining area. It felt like you were in exotic treehouse, dining in the tropics.

We shared the following.

Drinks: Sapparo draft beer, iced green tea and Echigo stout. The stout was refreshing and had a hint of coffee.

Sashimi special- this was so good and fresh. Esp for a restaurant serving both Thai and Japanese food. Reading the reviews, people complained about the quality of the fish. There were no complaints here.

The salmon was fatty and unctuous. The yellow tail was fresh. The tomago was soft and melted in our mouths. The scallop was sweet and so tender (this was my favorite piece). The botanical ebi head was creamy and fried to a great crunch. The otoro was very creamy and satisfying.

The chirashi bowl- this was also fresh! And the sushi rice had bits of sweet pickled vegetables and mushrooms to add texture to the rice! I liked the lean tuna, the shrimp and the salmon roe.

The seafood ramen was good- very rich flavors. I loved the added poach egg. The noodles were springy. The shrimps were good, the clams were plump but the broth was a little salty.

Chiang Mai noodles- this was slightly spicy sweet curried noodles (a version of Kaho Soi). I love the noodles! The curry was good, slightly sweet from coconut milk. The chicken chunks were a little overcooked and dry.

Beef Yakitori- good chunks of beef. It was a little dry but very flavorful.

Toro pork (pork belly)- This was the best Yakitori. The juicy crispy pork belly went perfectly with the yuzu pepper paste. This was a wonderful amazing mind blowing bite!

Shiitake Yakitori- this had a smoky flavor. It was a little undercooked and dried.

Dessert:

Coffee Jelly- concentrated coffee jelly topped with vanilla and coffee ice cream. The coffee tasted like nitro drip. It was very strong. It tasted like an affogato but with totally different textures.

Anmitsu Parfait- this had chewy delicious mochi with corn flakes, vanilla ice cream, red bean paste and topped with brown sugar syrup. This was my favorite dessert! I loved the mochi and all the blends of textures and varying levels of sweetness.

Matcha Mousse- green tea on the outside, vanilla mousse on the inside and paired with an adorable mouse-like yuzu sorbet with a mint leaf as its ears. This was my 2nd fav dessert.

This was an great meal with varying flavors and strengths. I would definitely reorder the Sashimi special, the Toro pork Yakitori, the anmitsu parfait and the matcha...

I had a great dining experience here the other night. I came with 5 other friends. Everything we ordered was delicious. We started off with drinks. I wanted the Secret Lover, because I'm big lychee fan, but they didn't have the ingredients for it. Instead I ordered the Gin Flower Crush which has St. Germain Liqueur and was really good. Other drinks ordered were the Pom Pom Margarita, the Liquid Passion and plum wine. Everyone said their drinks were good. I got a glass of the plum wine. It was my first time trying it and it's a little too sweet for my preference, but it was good. We got a bunch of starters for the table including the summer roll, basil fried rice, Thai fried chicken wings (my favorite), spicy chicken bao buns, Thai peanut dumplings, slow cooked pork belly, gyoza and grilled pork skewers. Everything was honestly so delicious. We were already starting to get full from just that, but there was more to come. Our entrees included a sashimi platter, the chirashi platter, ramen, Pad Thai, duck red curry, pork shoulder, Chang Mai noodles, tuna steak and my order which the crispy mock duck which everyone agreed was one of the top meals. It was so good and you honestly wouldn't know it was vegetarian or even if you could tell, you wouldn't care, because it was so flavorful. It comes in a chili basil sauce or garlic. I got the garlic sauce and was very happy with my decision. The tuna steak was another pleasant surprise. The tuna was cooked so well and was really delicious. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. For dessert we got the matcha mousse, mocha ice cream and the anmitsu parfait. The matcha mousse was our least favorite. The color of it looked so cool, because it was so green; however to get it that green they needed to use a lot of matcha powder which was very overpowering. The mochi ice cream was good if you like mochi. It's not my favorite, but I don't hate it. It's chewy, but I like ice cream so I tried a little. The best dessert we all agreed was the anmitsu parfait. There are so many elements to that dessert. It has agar jelly, vanilla ice cream, rice mocha, corn flakes, red bean paste and brown sugar syrup. As you eat you find more and more things inside and we were all like little kids eating. Overall, the meal was excellent, the service was great and the atmosphere of the restaurant is nice. I would definitely go back if I was in the area. I say this because I don't frequent...

I don’t know what was wrong w the server. My boyfriend and I went here on Monday March 21 around 4:20-30 and we sat inside. We ordered the chicken karage, rice, edamame, ramen, a Shirley temple and a draft beer. The food was very good I’m not writing this review about the food it’s about the service. So the Total came out to 62.05 w tax. I left a tip of 7.95 I would have left ten or 12 dollars because I’m also a server and know how much tips mean to a server. But I didn’t because the second richer looking people came in he forgot all about us. We were waiting a while to even ask to get our check and when we did ask it took a while at that as well while he was there already at the pos system he still didn’t. After I paid with my cash app card (which requires me to add the money from my actual bank account ) I made sure I left $70 in total. After I signed and left the tip he looked straight at the tip and gave me a weird look. We left and everything was fine and then I woke up this morning and saw that it was telling me the total was changed from 70 to 73.45. Look I could care less about 3 dollars but my problem is that this money went to this mediocre server and his “service” . And that HE THOUGHT HE DESERVED MORE MONEY THAT WAS NOT HIS TO TAKE. When I called the restaurant I asked if there was a manager and he said no. (Same guy by the way) I said okay explained the situation and I don’t know if he genuinely didn’t understand or if he was just playing at the fact he didn’t understand. I also asked him when the manager will be in he says Monday. And said okay what time he says I don’t know and then after alittle back and forth he goes “we busy “ and hung up. So I called back and said I’m sorry? He said “no time to talk we busy” and hung up again. Honestly I would’ve come back but just when a different server was there but now I don’t even want to come back because what if this restaurants servers all feel entitled to a bigger tip then they deserve. I’m disappointed because my boyfriend use the rave about this place and the super great waitress that use to serve him and his uncle. The restaurant is pretty don’t get me wrong but the server is what...
