Kinda reminds me of a convenience store. Picked up this small bowl of chirashi, croquette, and a Sakura mochi Azuki cream cake roll. With the same I got, definitely would come back. They had really delicious looking bentos but I just ate a decent meal beforehand. Sushi was hella fresh, really tasty and under $10 at the time. Good for satisfying your sushi craving. Croquette is as expected. That Sakura mochi roll cake was made to perfection. Soft, light and fluffy, not too sweet. Bits of mochi mixed in the cream and a hunk of Azuki bean paste inside. The staff were very nice. There was a microwave inside the store for heating up stuff. I would come back again when I'm in the area. Place has a few seating by the window, but mainly standing tables, which I prefer because it ensures quick turn around of guests. Perfect for grabbing...

medium-sized Japanese bakery located on Wyckoff Avenue in Bushwick. superclean space, very brightly lit, and modern interior. stopped at Takahachi several times—the bakery makes a variety of savory breads, sweet pastries, bentos, sandwiches, and more on premises. they serves a menu of coffee drinks as well. definitely try the beef curry bread—a soft melt-in-your-mouth bread filled with savory curry; also try the cream puff bread which has the right balance of sweet cream filling in a soft delicate bread/pastry; and the shrimp curry sauce sandwich is very good—chunks of shrimp in sauce on Japanese milk bread, too. love the fact that they sell half-sandwich portions when you want a sando but don’t want something too heavy. the bakery is very casual and has several tables if you want to stay and eat. service is quick...

Wow, this place is a gem. As a Japanese person from Japan, I am so grateful for Takahachi to exist. The variety of onigiri, sōzai (vegetable centric sides), karaage (fried chicken), sandwiches, bakery breads, and cakes are all authentic and feels home cooked. Affordably priced. Easy to eat balanced Japanese meal.

Everything is packaged considerately so you can take them to go / eat in your own dishes at home, or bring them to park (Maria Hernandez!) to eat in the sun.

You can eat in casually at high top tables, listening to Japanese pop music.

Feels at home 🥹😭🥰

(I took a photo halfway through eating because it’s so delicious and forgot...
