Due Fratelli — Restaurant in New York

Not gonna lie, I was skeptical at first, especially looking at their pizzas, which appeared pale and average, before they threw it into the oven. I drove from Philly to pick up family at JFK, and took a quick detour to get some pizzas. My husband and I are big foodies, and have been trying to find a decent place for pizza in Philly for many years despite trying everything including the most famous Philly pizzas. On a spur of a moment, we figured since we’re in NYC, why not give it a try. We have been to NYC many times and also haven’t found a pizza place we enjoy. So far, the best pizza we’ve ever had was actually in Korea believe it or not. However, we found this place on google with a higher rating compared to a few other places. They’re under the El, so I felt like I was in back in Kenzo in Philly, and wasn’t expecting anything good. Went in, there was no wait surprisingly since it was 7:30pm, and the staff were super friendly. Price was cheap, $2.50/slice and you get a free can of soda with every 2 slices you buy. Pizza tasted better than 70% of the pizzas in Philly. They were generous with the toppings and cheese. It was not overly salty or bland, just right. My husband and I got the regular cheese pizza, pepperoni, margherita,, and chicken/broccoli. Service was great, the guy even chased after me bc one of my slices was missing and he made sure I got it. It’s not the best pizza you’ll ever have in your life, but definitely has great taste and totally worth it for the price. This tasted better than some of the pizzas I’ve had in some of the top fine dining restaurants in Philly and California. My husband’s only regret was not getting more than one slice of pepperoni since it tasted that good. I recently had the opportunity to visit this wonderful pizza place and I must say that the experience was exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome and attentive staff who went out of their way to provide top-notch service. The pizza itself was simply delicious. The dough was perfectly baked, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and the ingredients were fresh and tasty. Each bite was an explosion of flavor that left me wanting more. Additionally, the atmosphere of the venue was cozy and welcoming, perfect for enjoying a quiet meal with friends or family. Ordered take out here for my husbands birthday very dissapointing to say the least.Would give iy no stars if I couls.The pizza was burned old dough was used.My daughters cesar salad was just a bunch of green leaves.The pizza made us both sick to our stomacks and rude and disrespectful when we phoned to exspress our dissapointment. Today 8/11/2025 ordrlered cheese fries with bacon for my daughter only to find they screwed up the order 3 times.My husband had to go over there and have them fix the order again and again and charged us an extra 5.00 for their screw up.Never again Done with this place maybe close by but cant get an order right.No way and charge you for...
