The spinach and cheese burek is extraordinary. When it comes fresh out of the oven, its a explosion of flavor and warmth. We also had the cheese burek - also tasty but perhaps not as much as the spinach and cheese one. The place has a limited menu (including homemade yogurt) but each item on the menu is super delicious. The folks at the counter are very kind and friendly. If you are ever in the area visiting the Bronx zoo or the Botanical gardens, this is definitely the place to grab dinner. This is the best Burek place in the city! Fresh and hot off the oven, you and your family will be satisfied by the piping hot crispiness of their pies and the yummy meat, spinach, and cheese options. They expanded their seating areas, and we can swing by Dukagjini for a quick lunch before heading back to work. Walked past the store & was drawn in by the delicious odor emanating from the front open door. Walked in & said, “something smells good but I don’t know what it is & I would like to try.” Then realized there was a small communication issue, but thankfully a gentleman at a table provided a helpful interpretation.
