El Castillo de Jagua — Restaurant in New York

Maybe I'm having a bad day but in food service at 9:57am you should be a little more enthused about answering my questions about items on your menu. I simply asked about the Orange juice that was served with the breakfast, if you got it to stay. I wanted to know if it was a container or if it was a cup. If it was a cup, I wanted to know what size the cup was to determine if it was worth getting. Not sure what I was responded with but it definitely was not pleasant. The young woman nearly cut my question off and asked if I was having my food for here or to go. After some more back and fourth she's like I don't understand what you asking. So I repeat my question slowly while pointing to the paper menu in my hand. She says I don't know the size of the cup. So I ask why (the hell) not? And she casually points out the 6 or 7 feet between where she was standing and the register and says...because I'm over here and it's over there. (SERIOUSLY!?) after taking the deepest of deep breaths, I kindly asked this woman who for some strange reason did not feel like it today, while containing every inch of my displeasure if she could ask. She walks away as I type this review and returns with a plastic cup the size of a tall double shot glass. Other than that the food is amazing and by far the best Mangu I've ever had! The meat and the cheese slices were extremely moist. The rating is purely for the poor...

The services was absolutely horrendous. We get in there and sit down. It takes for me to flag down the waitress for some menus. Then we place our order. While we wait, we don't receive any water or nothing. After about 20 minutes we finally receive our appetizers, which came out BEFORE our sodas. To top it off, they didn't give is any utensils and napkins. I had to ask for that too. Then when I asked some guy for a few green sauces, his attitude was disgusting. He very nastily respond, "HOW MUCH YOU WANT??" Disgusting attitude, like I was bothering him. And I only asked him because our own waitress kept on disappearing for 20 minutes at a time. Lastly, my friend ordered a papaya shake in the beginning when we ordered our drinks. She didn't receive it till about 10 minutes before we left. They kept forgetting.

Like I said, the service was absolutely disgusting, the food was maybe 3 stars, but the food quality don't matter when the service is bad. Never...

The food is great unfortunately the girls who serves the food are rude not all .. English barrior annoying they are making faces with rude English which is not their first language they are nodding yes andi don't even know what you're saying Young lady was rude to me today wanted to give me lasagna that wasn't squared and looking nice and neat the way you cut it wanted to give me a piece that was already spooned out and smashed up looking like mashshed up ground beef with 2 noodles . told me she could not cut me a slice "do I want it or not "so I left I was the only one in there she could have gave that to someone else if she wanted.. why do I have to pay for something that hedoesn't even look like Right while I know the owner or at least I'm familiar with him he does not act like this but some girls are less than...
