Winthrop Playground — Attraction in New York

Great hangout for us and our four-year-old!! A wonderful place to meet other parents and kids. Water spouts in the summer. Two playgrounds, swings, basketball courts, tables, benches and bathrooms all year 'round.

Only drawbacks are common to almost all NYC parks: bathroom not in excellent shape, a few rowdy kids sometimes go there late at night, and one of the water fountains is yucky. @NYC Parks, I know you do a lot of great work - let's clean up the playgrounds, though! They're such stellar resourcees for parents and communities, and with a little spit 'n polish, they'd be a crown...

I remember playing here with all the kids in my afterschool in 2018. We would all run as fast as would could to get to the swings first, then get wet in the water fountains, hang upside down on the metal bars, play tag, shoot each other with water guns, and go dashing towards the ice cream truck when we heard the music. I like the play ground because it was clean the water fountain taste like water it wasn't brown or funny looking. The basketball courts were nice size just need 1 or 2 nets fix for the rims. The children section was also clean only thing they need some oil for the swings they were rusty making squeaking noise. Beside that go...
