My coworkers were hungry while drinking at Rogers Garden and I recommended Risbo. One of them was familar with Risbo and agreed the food is great. When placing an order My friend updated the delivery with her new phone number and for whatever reason the system contacted her old number. Because of this my friend was tracking the delivery closely, and when she saw that it turned around. when she called Risbo whoever answered the phone was incredibly rude and said that the delivery driver could not find us, and that they return the food because the food bag broke. She informed my friend that she would have to come pick up the food. My friend grew frustrated, so I took over the conversation and explain to her that we were seated outside at Rogers Garden, and we were the only people there. We never saw a delivery driver and the gps never showed the driver at Rogers Garden. I asked, since we had to come get it, if she would waive the delivery fee. She explained to me that because "we could not be found", the fee couldn't waived and my friend would have to pick it up. she noted that she also attempted to call my friends phone number but as I mentioned before she updated the number in the system but for whatever reason it didnt process.
In my opinion, an extension of good service is accommodation and problem-solving. The energy was "we have ur money already so come and pick up the food or dont". Whoever was on the phone with zero attempt to help, so they lost three patrons. generally speaking, I enjoy the food at Risbo, but this isn't my first interaction with an employee there that was just unnecessarily abrasive or rude. While it markets itself as being a welcoming space, it generally get the sense that it caters to transplant, gentrifiers and anyone who hung out at Kinfolk circa 2019. it used to be a place I always recommended and im mortified that this was my...
Read moreTonight was the second time I've been here, and I really enjoyed it.
Food tastes really good - all the meats are bursting with flavor and I love that you can mix them up with several different sauces. I really like the price point - the portions are relatively small but only around $7 each, so it's good value.
The Mac and cheese is SUPER cheesy and my favorite from both times. First time I went months ago I had both the beef and the chicken (there was a bit of a complication, but the staff were very nice and apologetic so the chicken was on the house), and today I had the lamb. Can't remember all the sauces I've tried but 0 complaints so far.
The service is different. There's no traditional wait staff/busing here, which means you do all of it yourself. Perfectly fine, considering me and bf's filling meals tonight came out to probably $25 less than we'd have paid at a traditional restaurant. You'll have to take a second to figure out where everything goes/comes from but not hard.
And finally the vibe is cool! I personally hate a lot of the design choices, which feel like "hmm we don't want to pay a contractor to renovate so let's leave it like this and call it hip" but honestly that's every new Brooklyn style. They have a DJ who plays great music, and the staff are real friendly. This place also fits the neighborhood - a lot of new places here feel like they've shoved in from downtown Brooklyn but Risbo feels...
Read moreAmazing Rotisserie!!! Risbo is slowly but surely becoming an inevitable destination in Brooklyn. Nice vibes as you step in this cozy decor and accompanying music. Cool concept as there is no waiting service. You basically go to the counter and order, then wait for the beeper. Was there with some friends and I had The Slow roasted pork and it is to die for, The Roasted Leg of Lamb as well. Depends on your vibe of the day but you cant go wrong. The sides are equally as good, The Gratin Dauphinois was flavorful like back home in France at Grandma’s house. The Roasted market Veggies was very light and tasty. All around great meal and very reasonably priced. The Bar offers some original Cocktails, Beer and soft drinks. Cool backyard for the hot days. Highly Recommended.
Risbo... Super Rotisserie. Prix tres raisonable. Jardin extérieur tres agréable .Voir...
